Re: A medical firm has four branches in a single city and its surrounding [#permalink]
i) There are more walk-ins at West Grove than at Northland on Thursday.
If we glance at the graphs of Wed, Thu, Sat, we can see that on Wed that walk ins at West grove< walkins at northland , whereas on Saturday, they are the same for both. On Thursday, that number is more for Wet Grove hence the answer

ii) The number of walk-ins at the downtown clinic on Friday =15
number of walk-ins at the Main Street clinic on Wednesday=5
Thus 15/5*100= 300%

Re: A medical firm has four branches in a single city and its surrounding [#permalink]
Part 1: There are more walk-ins at West Grove than at Northland on _____

Looking at the three options:

Wednesday: West Grove = 1, Northland = 2
Thursday: West Grove = 5, Northland = 4
Saturday: West Grove = 4, Northland = 4

Hence, the answer is Thursday.

Part 2: The number of walk-ins at the downtown clinic on Friday is closest to ____ % of the number of walk-ins at the Main Street clinic on Wednesday.

The number of walk-ins at the downtown clinic on Friday = 15
The number of walk-ins at the Main Street clinic on Wednesday = 5

Translating the question stem: 15 is x% of 5.
i.e. 15 = (x/100)*5

Solving for x we get 300.

Hence the answer is 300.

Official Explanation

The answer to the first question is B. The only day with more walk-ins at West Grove than at Northland is Thursday, when there are 5 at West Grove and 4 at Northland.

The answer to the second question is E. There are 15 walk-ins at the downtown clinic on Friday and 5 at the Main Street clinic on Wednesday; 15 is 300% of 5.
