The interview was generally friendly, lasted for about 50 minutes. Had the interview with Betsy. Asked questions around short term and long term goals, why MBA, why Carlson, what I'm bringing to the table. TMAT when you used data, TMAT when you received negative feedback

Mine was with a 2nd year student. She quickly introduced herself and went straight to the questions.
1. Walk me thru your resume.
2. Career goals. She asked me to elaborate a few things because of my military background.
3. Why MBA? Why Anderson?
4. How will you contribute to Anderson?
5. What clubs will you join?
6. TMA a time that you used your skills to help out your teammates. I gave her my example and she wanted to know if I ever did that as a follower, not a leader.
7. Any questions for me?
I wish that she is a bit more engaged. Overall, pretty straightforward.

I had an interview with 2 adcom. The interview lasted for 30 mins. As I have almost 6 years of work experience, the questions revolved mostly around my work. The following questions were asked:
1) Tell me about yourself(I told my why MBA in this and so they did not asked. I should have formulated my and properly)
2) Biggest achievement & failure
3) Challanges in work
4) Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a team member/manager etc.
5) Tell me about a time you could not deliver to the client
6) About the GMAT exam & score: What challenges you faced in the online GMAT exam. Are you willing to give the exam again to increase your score as there is enough time for the program to start and I said yes. Not sure why they asked this question.
6) They asked if I had any questions, and I asked a few.
Final decision: Admitted. They told me that I won't be required to give a new score as they were satisfied with the score of 650.

The prompt was restated and the interview began with introductions. We were given 60 sec for pitch and went alphabetically. Then 25 minute timer began and we had good group dynamic- kept time- maintained structure- assigned roles for presentation before we began. Kept to time and went through a mock presentation in last 5 minutes before the final presentation.
He commended us telling us that we were one of the best TBD groups he saw.
PI was straightforward
Why mba why Wharton
I spoke for 7 minutes or so but since he was not a Wharton student or alumni I didn't have questions to ask per say.
Interviewer smiled at me and even called me passionate and charismatic! It was wonderful experience all together.

4. Describe day to day activities at work.

8. TMAT you used your strengths to help out a team.
9. TMAT you had to convince a coworker to do something.
10. What do you do for fun?
11. Questions for her.

Hi Everyone,
I was all nerves when I reached the venue but talking to other people in the lobby calmed me a bit. I was in the first batch for the day and the first to interview with my panel of two. They were alumni from the 2017 batch. They made sure I was comfortable and settled, though they themselves were looking a bit nervous if I'm honest and I'll tell you why. The interview lasted around 20 mins and was decent. Sharing the series of questions below:
1) Tell us about this extra curricular activity you've mentioned (related to sports). Also what are some leadership lessons you've learnt from it.
2) Asked about my designation and my role.
3) My company pivoted recently, so they asked about the impact on the team and how would I analyze the pivot
4) They were interested in the projects I was working on and asked about it in detail
5) They asked about my recommender and asked me to evaluate him. Basically what I'd do differently if I was in his shoes
6) Why MBA was next and from there they probed a bit about my goals and the industry I was seeking.
When these questions were done they started getting up and shook my hand. I was a bit flustered. When I said I had some questions they immediately realised they forgot to ask me that and apologized and sat down again. I asked a few questions and they answered it pretty openly.
I'd give them the benefit of doubt that it was the first interview of the day, but one of them really seemed nervous and I think it was his first time interviewing. Overall my experience was decent, I answered to the best of my abilities and now I'm hoping for the best 🤞🏼

I had an interview with one of the recent Cornell Tech Alumni who had a successful startup upon graduation.
The interview was very conversational and although the interview was for 30mins, we ended up talking for over an hour.
We started off with pretty usual MBA interview questions
- Introduce yourself. Since we had similar backgrounds he went over in depth regarding the content of my resume.
- What leadership role had you taken in your role and what was the motivation for taking them?
- What do you want to do from now on?
- Why MBA from Cornell Tech MBA specifically?
- Why aim for that specific goal?
- What is the most difficult situation you faced and what are the steps you took to deal with it?
In the end, the interviewer asked if I had any questions for him. And I asked the usual questions regarding his experience in the course, his favorite course and professors, and the workload during the course.
I sometimes felt that I completely forgot to follow the STAR format when answering questions and the interviewer had to bring me back on track. All in all the interview was very pleasant but I worry that maybe I went off track many times, hence I am pretty anxious and have my fingers crossed for the results.

Hello - Yes my interview was on 26th. It was with one of the Adcom members. The interview flows truly in a very friendly and conversational manner. I would advise one should know the Why’s of everything. Why did you choose your undergraduate. your job, made that particular switch, or moved to a country. Also, Darden is keen to know who you are as a person. Darden believes in values, collaboration and seek to understand your working style/learning style. I believe you are thorough on why you want to do MBA? Why from Darden? What will you gain from Darden , MBA? How will you be able to contribute. You are all set for the interview. No need to overthink. Just be yourself and stay confident. Don’t forget that getting interviewed is something you always wanted. So enjoy it to the fullest. All the best. Let me know if you need more help.

I applied for ISB in 2017 (pre-covid era).
Had an in-person interview in the ISB Hyderabad campus.
The panellists were a couple of alums and were very comforting. It wasn't an interview but a conversation to assess my motivations behind applying for the school, post-MBA aspirations, and the work done till date (Internships, Profession, Hobbies).
These were the questions I was asked in the ~40 minutes long conversation -
1. Give us a brief overview of your profile
2. Follow up question on a live project I had done on skill development for students in the government schools of Delhi
3. Why ISB? Why MBA?
4. Questions on area of interest - Finance (Where did the Sensex close at yesterday, Ratio Analysis, How do you assess the financial health of a company from its balance sheet)
5. Which clubs would you want to join?
6. What is the value that you will bring to the ISB Classroom?
7. What if ISB doesn't happen?
8. You seem to be a lone wolf, not a team player. How will you survive at ISB?
9. Any questions for us?
Hope this helps all ISB aspirants.
Have been mentoring ISB aspirants since the last 4.5 years post getting my admit. 80% of the questions remain the same across interviews. It depends on how authentic you are with your answers.
All the best!
