Interviewed with Nirav Mehta. One of the most easy-going interviewer I have ever met. The interview lasted for roughly about 35-40 mins. But it wasn't a blind interview. He had gone through my entire application. Questions: 1. What do you consider as your biggest achievement and why? 2. Why MBA and Why Marshall? 3. Tell me a time where you had a disagreement with your peers or supervisor. What was your reaction and how did you handle it? 4. What are the top three qualities you think a leader must have? 5. Tell me a time where you had to use empathy in your leadership experience (Because I had mentioned "empathy" as one of the three traits). 6. Any questions for me? He said expect to hear back by the end of November? So fingers crossed!

Most engaging conversation ever! It did not feel like the Rapid Fire Round description and it was only as I reflected did I realize there were some 20+ questions covered. The interviewer was very warm, wore a smile throughout the conversation and brought in personal anecdotes that really helped build a rapport. We went quite deep into my company, talking about different verticals, industry, competition, sale cycle, product range, client, challenge, what I enjoy the most. I think 70% of the interview was on this and I apologised at one point for talking a lot, that I know I should keep the answers crisp and short but she reassured me that as long as you are doing most of the talking, the interview is going great we covered 1 question about my short term goal and 3-4 on my long term goal as to why, where, how would you realize it etc The last question pertained to hobbies I did not realise how 30 minutes passed. The interview flow was very organic and I felt like it was a conversation with an acquaintence! I enjoyed the process a lot! All the best to all applicants

I had my interview with Stern today. The Adcom member had read my profile beforehand and was friendly. Most of the questions catered to my specific experiences so I don’t think those would add much value to this post. However, some general behavioral questions were: 1. Your leadership style and What do you bring to a team? 2. How will you reach your long-term goals? 3. How are you planning to improve your leadership style? 4. Tell me about a time you have incorporated another team member’s idea to change your course of action? 5. Tell me about a time you used your problem-solving skills. 6. Tell me about a time your creative hobbies have helped with your professional life? 7. How are you planning to contribute to Stern community? 8. Anything we missed? 9. Any questions? I think the adcom member was just trying to assess if I am a good fit for Stern. I Will find out in 3 weeks! Good luck to everyone else applying!

It was a conversational interview. I was a bit surprised that the interviewer (2 alums) had thoroughly read my resume, so instead of doing an intro/walk me through your resume, we just dove right into it. Questions Asked: 1. Tell us about your family business. (presently working for my family business) 2. What challenges have you faced in Business? 3. What is your major accomplishment? 4. Why now MBA? 5. Why ISB? 6. Short/long-term goals? 7. How do you contribute to your study group? 8. How do you contribute to ISB? 9. Why not MFAB? 10. Any specific areas of study (electives) you plan to focus on? 11. Any questions for us? Interview Prep: I scheduled multiple mock interviews with ISB alums via Preppie. Mr. Revanth Dodla, an ISB alum from the Preppie panel, needs a special mention; he took an interest in knowing more about me and provided valuable input. All the mocks were very similar to the actual interview experience, both in the tone of conversation & questions asked. Mr. Ayush (Preppie) deserves special recognition for the rigorous effort of coordinating and setting up appointments with numerous alumni. It was an excellent experience.

Overall, the interview went by pretty fast and my interviewer was very engaging.

My first interview was with an alum based locally who graduated ~10 years ago (over Zoom). It was very conversational, and she naturally weaved in several questions. The questions I remember were: - Walk me through your resume? - What do you do in your spare time? - What will you do in your time outside academics at INSEAD? - Several probing questions in my application essays (more detail around specific failures, achievements, etc.) - Why do I want to return to the same place after INSEAD? It lasted an hour and I left the interview feeling very positive. My second interview was with an alum based locally who also graduated ~10 years ago (also over Zoom). It was conversational as well, and he asked a lot of point-blank questions. Half the interview focused on my long-term goal and how I would achieve it, and the other half focused on my leadership style, what I would do in specific situations, and a lot of probing into my answers. The questions I remember were: - Why an MBA now? - Pitch your long-term goal to me if I had to invest in it. - What is your management style? - Have you ever had to be confrontational with a colleague or subordinate? - What would you do if a subordinate undermines you? - Why Fonty? And why no exchanges? It lasted an hour as well. Both interviewers had full access to my entire application and resume (I had shared it with them before the interview as requested). Keeping my fingers crossed!

I was interviewed by 2 alumni, on the ISB Hyderabad campus. INTERVIEW DURATION: 20 mins QUESTIONS ASKED: 1. Tell us a little about yourself. 2. Why & how did you make that industry pivot? (I had pivoted from architecture to marketing 2 years ago.) 3. How did you start your business and find your first few clients? 4. How do you run your business today? What kind of projects do you work on? 5. So why do you want to do an MBA now? 6. Why ISB? 7. What other MBA colleges are you applying to? 8. What do you plan to do after ISB and why? (company, roles, etc.) 9. How do you plan to make the most of your time at ISB? 10. Any specific areas of study (electives) you plan to focus on? 11. Any questions for us? OVERALL EXPERIENCE: It was a very easygoing & friendly conversation. And having prepared thoroughly beforehand, none of the questions took me by surprise. INTERVIEW PREP STRAEGY: I first scripted an outline of my answers for all the general questions (Why you, why MBA, why ISB, situational Q's, etc.). After practicing these answers & getting comfortable, I scheduled 3 mock interviews with ISB alums via Preppie. All the mocks were very similar to the actual interview experience, both in the tone of conversation & questions asked. After every Preppie mock interview, the alums gave me tips on - how I can tighten and improve my answers - pointed out loopholes in my story + suggestions on how to address them - tips on improving my communication + responding to stress questions - brought up some profile-specific questions that I should prep answers for* *(This was super helpful since a lot of actual interview Q's came from these extra Q's that the alums suggested.) After the 3 mocks + lots of tips from interviewing alums, I was able to refine my answers, build confidence & prepare for almost all interview eventualities.

The interview started with some technical issues on interview platform so we had to switch to zoom. It was very conversational interview with current second year international student. I do not remember the order of questions but overall questions were based on following lines. 1. Tell me about yourself and your journey 2. Why mba and why now? 3. Why Owen or what was your criteria for shortlisting b-schools? 4. TMAT when you had to overcome a challenge what was your approach and results 5. What is diversity to you and your approach to handle diverse groups of people? 6. What do you like to do outside work and home ij your spare time? 7. TMAT when you had to lead a team 8. Which specialisation(s) do you want to pursue? 9. What are your ST & LT goals? 10. Which other schools have you applied? 11. Your contribution to the Owen 12. Any questions for me? 13. Why east coast only? 14. Why these specialisations Almost every question had multiple follow on questions to get more clarity on the content of the discussion. Overall, it was a great discussion. Initially, it was planned for 30 minutes but we went on discussing each others experiences for over 50-55 minutes.

A panel of 2 ISB Alums Interview duration: 35 - 40 mins It was an extremely comfortable interview, conversational, and at no point did the alums try to roast me, all their questions were directed towards better understanding me. The questions started Resume based, since I had 3 significant projects listed they asked me which I would want to discuss. They went on to discuss the planning and other details of the project. Then the discussion moved to my goals and how ISB fits into them. Interview Prep: I used Preppie services for Interview preparation. I utilised their interview preparation and mock interview sessions. The team was so helpful and went out of the way to customise the sessions for me, since my goals were aligned towards a development background they arranged for an alum with a similar background to conduct these sessions. Both sessions were extremely well structured and helped refine my answers to convey my ideas better. The first session which was the preparation session helped me refine my answers to fit the timeframe of an interview, this task is nearly impossible to do on your own since it comes with experience. Preppie provided that experienced guidance and support to prepare for unexpected questions, frame and present my perspective as well as additional tips which could only come from an experienced professional. In a short time, with the support of preppie, I was able to prepare holistically for the interview and was able to tackle almost all questions posed by the panel!

I am a reapplicant and was interviewed by two alumni - panel 9 - in Mumbai. Straight away, the interviewer and I connected over being from Bangalore. This helped immensely to set the rest of the tone of the interview. It was extremely conversational, friendly, and we even joked at certain points. Interview questions: 1. They gave me the floor to tell them anything about myself that I want them to know and discuss during the interview 2. Describe your organization (I work for a boutique IB firm, this is probably why the question came up), it's journey, and your role along with daily responsibilities - A complete deep dive into a few companies I've worked with that were mentioned in my application - Expect questions based on even the minutest of details of your job. For eg. I am working on the acquisition of a hospital chain & I was asked questions about the many important hospital metrics 3. Why ISB and why now 4. Tell me about your long-term goals - I mentioned I want to start a venture - we spent a good part of the interview breaking down the idea mentioned in my essay with a lot of cross questioning and stress testing 5. Why have you jumped so many jobs? If you, like me, have jumped jobs, expect this question and have very solid reasons why 6. Give me three reasons why we shouldn't select you 7. Tell me more about you being a pianist - I am classically trained so we spent a few minutes talking about my journey and passion for it 8. Do you have any questions for us? - Be very careful with the kinds of questions you ask. The interviewer specifically told me before I asked a question that if it's a 'canned question' then I shouldn't bother asking it at all Overall, the tone of the interview was light and relaxed.
