I just had a virtual interview with an Alumni with the same time zone as me. It was very casual and conversational. Lasted around 50 minutes. Also, the interviewer asked me to show my ID card, said it was a protocol from the university. I was asked the following questions:
1. Why did you choose your undergraduate major?
2. Why did you choose your current job?
3. How do your coworkers and managers describe you?
4. Tell me about a time when you handle cultural differences?
5. Tell me about a time when you were challenged?
6. If you took your supervisor's role, what would you change?
7. Why MBA?
8. Why Ross?
9. Contribution to Ross?
10. If you were an animal? What are you and why?
I really enjoyed my interview, the interviewer was friendly, although I spent a considerable amount of time to answer each question.
Good luck all!

Medium used: Zoom.
Duration: 30 Minutes.
Interview Panel: Professors (Males - Two).
Questions asked:
1. Started with extempore topic. My topic was "Should India develop its own vaccine for COVID-19 or should it take outside help? Was given 1 min to prepare and then I spoke for about 3 min. There was then a discussion on my points presented for about 5 min.
2. Why MBA? Why don't you come for our Armed Forces Program? - Gave my reasons.
3. What will you bring to the campus?
4. What are your short term goals, what have you done till now in your career to qualify for your goals after MBA?
Overall a very satisfying interview experience where I was able to put across my point and had a patient hearing for the same. There were situations when the panel didn't agreed to my point and they had good reasons for that, so I didnt tried to press hard on my point and accepted that their point was equally logical. Very level headed and pleasing personalities.
Advice: Be patient, understand what has been asked, and then answer logically. There is no need to put pressure on yourself by being over anxious. Extempore is part of the interview just to see how you think on your feet and if you are logical or not with your reasoning - its an ice breaker actually and you are not accessed on your general knowledge. Having said that it is a good idea to brush up your current awareness so as to have the material to speak and express your opinion when called upon to do so.
All the very best."

Interviewed with Monica Song from Ad Com.
It was the most conversational and unconventional interview among all the interviews I have given.
She started by explaining that KF used to conduct blind interviews but they have discontinued to do so. She has read all of my application and essay and should not bother to repeat the information already shared in essays.
Q1. Why did you consider MBA?
Q2. What are your plans immediately after MBA?
Q3. Why did you chose Kenan-Flagler?
At this point she started speaking very casually of what she understood of my responses and then she started talking about my essays and said she wanted to talk about my essay no 2 and 3 specifically.
Q4. How did COVID affect your country and how do you think your govt reponded to it?
general chit chat about covid after this and some conversations about my essay#2.
Q5. Asked to know more about a personal story that I had mentioned in Essay#3... this also led to a conversation.
At this pt, she thanked me for sharing my personal story and talked about how she sees so many good applications from Indian candidates and how they try match the right fit bw the college and the candidate.
Q6. If your colleagues were to describe you in 3 words, what would they be?
Q7. Do you take suggestions from your employees?
After this she pointed out very empathically what were the strong points of my application and what were the few weak points. And again the thing about many Indian applicants and tough competition among Indians with similar profile.
Q8. Do you have any questions for me?
The interview went on for 40 min. I was so comfortable talking to the interviewer I dinn realize where all the time go.

Interviewed with AdCom - fairly standard questions
- Tell me about yourself
- Questions around specific roles in my resume - promos etc.
- What does your everyday job look like?
- Significant accomplishment at work
- Teamwork experience where people in the team were different from you - opportunities and challenges
- 3 strengths that your colleagues would attribute to you
- 2 weaknesses
- What is your leadership style and example of that style
- ST and LT goals
- Why MBA? Why now?
- Why Kellogg?
- Apart from professional clubs, what are you interested in?
- What do you think will be a challenge for you at Kellogg?
- Any questions for the adcom from me
The interview was at 12:30 am IST so the ad-com was very nice about the fact that it was late and was empathetic to the situation. Great experience overall and a pleasant conversation. The atmosphere she set allowed me to be myself and speak confidently.

Interviewed with an MBA2. Interview went for 45 min.
The interview started on a very light note with her sharing about the hobbies(that she read from my resume) we had in common and asking a few casual questions about favorite books and genre.
Q1. Walk me through your resume.
Q2. Why MBA?
Q3. ST and LT goals?
Q4. Why did you chose Anderson?
Q5. What clubs would you contribute to at Anderson?
Q6. Tell about a time you face differences at work and how did you tackle it?
Q7. Tell about a time you used your strength that befitted your team.
Q8. Tell me about a time you failed.
Q9. Any questions?
The interviewer was super friendly and responded to all the responses very empathatically. Very little cross questioning was there. I remember once when I was talking about involvement in a club, she asked me who I talked to in that club; and a coupke of time she stopped me coz I was going on endlessly with my responses.

Medium used: Zoom.
Duration: 30 Minutes.
Interview Panel: Professors (Two - males)
Questions asked:
1. A topic was given and about 1 min to prepare - I spoke for about 3 minutes (Topic - Should India produce a vaccine for Covid on its own or should it take international help) followed by discussions on the issue for about 5 minutes.
2. Why MBA?
3. Why don't you come for the Armed Forces Program?
4. How would you contribute to the class?
5. What are your goals after MBA?
Overall a very satisfying interview experience where I was able to put across my point and had a patient hearing for the same. There were few rebuttals but they were very logical.
Advice: Be patient, understand what has been asked, and then answer logically. Be clear about why MBA. It's human interaction and the manner in which you handle humans can affect your outcome. Be through with what you have written in your application. Have a general understanding of current affairs as that would help you to frame your response in a better manner during the extempore.

Duration: 55 Minutes.
Interview Panel: Admissions Committee Member (Lady).
Questions asked:
1. Brief introduction about self.
2. Why MBA and why not executive MBA?
3. What are your goals and how Schulich MBA would help you achieve them?
4. Situation where you showed leadership skills while solving a problem?
5. What will you bring to the class?
6. How would you describe your leadership style?
7. A time you failed and what you learned from it?
8. One thing that we would not know looking into your application.
9. Challenges that you expect while undertaking your education at Schulich?
10. Any questions for me - I asked about scholarship assistance.
Overall a very satisfying interview experience where I was able to put across my point and had a patient hearing for the same. There was no rebuttal at any point, what I noticed was that every time I was answering the interviewer would record my response, I guess they would have used it to analyze in more detail later on.
Advice: Be patient, understand what has been asked, and then answer logically. Be clear about why MBA and how Schulich will help you reach your goals.
All the very best.

So, I guess this is the first Interview Debrief of Round 1 for 2021 intake, I hope this helps.
The interview had truly personalised questions
Started with general introductions
1. Tell me about a time when you persuaded your company to acquire the other company. (Personal experience- listed on resume)
Takeaways- I answered in the star format but he wanted to know the specific actions taken and also what I felt during the entire process (That was brilliantly new)
2. Tell me about a time when someone else changed your mind. (Had to think really quick in this one)
3. Tell me about a time when you had to work with someone difficult
(Pretty straight forward)
4. Why MBA? Why Rice?
5. ST LT goals
6. What intrigues you about your Goal.
7. Houston research question
8. What is it about Entrepreneurship at rice that is intriguing to you for your goals and why Houston is a good place?
9. Questions for him
I was a bit frustrated because I had to explain every single thing to him about the interview and quite honestly, most of the works I have done were done on a non-disclosure, so had to be very careful that I don't break the contract and it kinda ruined the entire experience.
So my advice to you is to just be prepared to extra drilling, this year, they are going into a more sophisticated personalised interview process

I interviewed with Grace Kim from Ad Com, very composed and friendly.
Started the interview with basic introduction and interview format. She mentioned that it was a blind interview and she has not read my application for a fresh perspective.
She read my resume in front of me and started asking questions.
1. You worked with Reliance for about an year and then you co-founded your company. How was that experience like and how did you come to that decision?
This continued with 2-3 questions specific to my company and the work it does.
2. Where did an MBA come into picture?
3. What are your short term and long term goals?
4. Why did you chose Marshall?
5. What is the most difficult challenge you faced at your work?
6. What is the most common misconception people have about you? (I have seen this question in a lot of debriefs, seems like a favorite)
7. Any questions ?
The interview was 40 minutes.

Super conversational chat with adcom.
1) TMABY
2) Why MBA/Why Now/Why Darden - expanded on how I appreciated Darden's emphasis on diversity so we discussed this for a bit.
3) ST/LT Goals
4) More detail on Case Method (I mentioned that although I enjoyed case method classes in undergrad, I'll be a bit nervous the first few weeks of school until getting into a rhythm.)
5) Questions for Adcom (I had fewer questions because I already spoke to this individual)
6) Hobbies
Overall, really good chat and opportunity to expand on my application.

I interviewed for R1 with an MBA2 (female from my country and same undergrad major)
The interview started with she giving her introduction and explaining the interview format.
Q. Introduce yourself. (I talked about my undergrad and work ex)
It continued as a conversation with she asking details about my work, my company(its a startup co-founded by me), why I decided to leave job and start a company, how did the process go from deciding to founding the company, what exactly is our offering, etc etc
Q. What are your short term and long term goals and how will an MBA fit into it?
Q. Why Ross?
Q. Starting and working on your own startup must have involved learning from your own mistakes? Tell about one of the mistakes you made and how did you overcome it.
Q. Tell about an experience where you worked with people from different backgrounds. (one or two cross question in it on how i dealt with people and how would I translate that experience at my future workplace)
Q. Any questions you would like to ask?
I was more nervous than usual in this interview and I think I was lacking structure in my answers so the interviewer asked multiple questions in each to direct my responses to where she was intending. It went for 55minutes. ~5 min introductions. ~30 min about work ex. ~15 min behavioural questions. ~5 min my questions.
5 years ago May 3, 2021 11:05
The interview lasted 1h30m and was a conversation, mainly after he finishes the regular questions.
1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Why MBA? Why Ross?
3. ST/LT goals.
4. Tell me about a project that you were leading that changed suddenly.
5. Tell me about an unpopular decision that you have made.
6. Tell me about a time you corrected/helped your manager.
7. Tell me about a tough feedback you received.
8. What would you change in the world if you could?
9. Do you want to tell something about yourself not addressed in the previous questions?
The interviewer seemed to be very interested, since I have a non-traditional background. These questions took 45 minutes, and the next 45 minutes were just conversation about the school!
Good luck to everyone!

Pretty standard. Listing out the questions in no particular order:
1. Why MBA
2. Why now
3. Why XYXY field? What drew you to it?
4. Example of when you've:
- faced a challenge
- worked in a difficult team
- had to convince someone senior about a project
- worked with someone who did not want to work with you on a project
- had to go out of your comfort zone
- worked in a global setting
5. How do you intend to build your network at the school?
6. Have you spoken to any alums / current students?
7. Can you elaborate a bit more about your XYXY extra curricular, why have you stuck with it for so long?
8. If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
Last one definitely caught me off guard. They're not expecting an amazing answer - just that you'll be able to hold your own and not fumble too much.
Alum was very friendly, graduated many years ago but was very up-to-date with the school and its offerings. Lasted about 1h10m.

Both interviews were over zoom. I wore a suit jacket, but the alumni were dressed super casually. Both had been out of the program for 8+ years and US based.
First interview was very conversational. Questions included tell me about yourself, why an MBA, why now, why INSEAD, 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses, long term goals, one cultural like and dislike based on my experience, tell me a time you faced a problem at work, about a time you showed leadership, greatest accomplishment, how you will balance school and social life at INSEAD. She seemed genuinely interested in my background and motivations and answered my questions about her experience very thoroughly.
Second interview even more casual. The interviewer shared the questions on the sheet that the interviewers have to fill out about candidates including questions like has this person shown growth and accelerated in their career, leadership capability, international motivations, how would this person handle the rigorous academics at INSEAD, would they make a good fit socially, etc. I answered his questions while he typed notes. He said he would go back and fill it all in later and his philosophy is that he shouldn’t stand in the way of people getting into the program so he would recommend me. We then spent the rest of the interview answering my questions and talking about his experience which was very candid about the pros and cons. I think we genuinely connected and he was helpful with discussing larger MBA and career considerations and said to let him know how the decision goes.
Sent a thank you note to both interviewers after.
