My first interview was pretty relaxed in a Starbucks. I guess there are not many alumni in my country so we didn't share any kind of background. Interviewer was serious at first - she had read my resume and application so she had specific questions about my stories, mainly asking me to add more details to things that had caught her attention. She asked about my job experience, my goal, about a challenging story and about my failure. She asked me why an MBA, why INSEAD. She asked me how I pictured myself in the first 5 years after INSEAD and given all countries I traveled to and lived in, what could I contribute to INSEAD's diversity. We then had a chat in English (my resume said I have learned French by myself so she asked me more detailed about that) and then it was my turn asking questions. We ended up chatting for a while afterwards and she gave me some tips for the program. It lasted around 75 minutes.

Hi, My interview experience (skype): The interviewer called on time and introduced herself. The interaction began and stayed in conversation format. The questions asked were very general and on expected lines: 1. What has been a recent great achievement 2. Why do you think you succeeded 3. Talk about a time when things did not go well 4. How did you / your team respond to the situation 5. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult colleague 6. Why MBA and why Sloan 7. Any questions for me Just to add, the tone was very friendly and stress free. There were a few follow up questions for each one of the above based on the stories I presented. My advise would be that the stories must be authentic and its vital that you go through them in detail while preparing so that the response to any question is experiential. I'd like to think that I did well. Lets hope for the best.

My interview questions were quite different to those of others. Most of the questions were about technical things relevant to my working background. Some common questions were also asked like why MBA and NUS. Other than that were about my knowledge and experiences from work! Interviewers were friendly and answered every questions i asked. Good Luck everyone. Be yourself and do not be too stressed!

Interviewed in London with a member of the AdCom. It was fairly chill though she tried to stick pretty closely to the allotted time, restricting her period asking questions to around 25 ish mins. She asked: 1. Why now 2. Why NYU 3. What firms are you looking at (for consulting roles - being my stated post-graduation goal) 4. How do you think you'll manage the recruiting process 5. What's your role on a team 6. Are you directly responsible for anyone / do you have any direct reports 7. What's your managerial style I was pretty worried before-hand as I'd only managed about 2.5 hours sleep the night before due to a manic period at work but thankfully there was a really good vibe. I got the admit decision just under two weeks after the interview.

Hello all, just had my interview. The interviewer was lovely, very conversational and informal. Also very transparent. Now we wait until March 28 - seems like forever. Also one thing we discussed was the brand of MSx vs an MBA and I am a bit concerned about this. Not sure what you guys feel. I only spent 3 weeks (consulting doesn't allow for much) for my test prep and just applied to HBS, MIT and Stanford. I really should have done more research on the MIT programme. As someone already pointed out, their Sloan Fellows programme actually confers an MBA degree - I think that's a huge plus. But I didn't apply to their Sloan Fellows programme and regretting this now. Having said that - Stanford is more of a fit for me in terms of personality, career aspirations and the general ethos of the school. They said they are not thinking about branding the MSx as an MBA anytime soon.... So anyone coming in needs to be well aware of this.

Hi My Interview was with Sanjay Dhingra. The interview lasted for around 20 mins, it was conversational, behavioral and not at all stressful. Please be clear and thorough about the matter that you've written in your said or said during the video essays. The questions asked to me were around these essays and situation based. Below are the questions asked: 1. Why did you say XXX in your Video essay? 2. What's your goal? WHy MBA? 3. Why Canada? 4. Describe a life-impacting event. 5. Have you faced any conflict during your work life and how did you resolve it? Please be comfortable and clear about the thoughts and ideas w.r.t your goals and aspirations. Do proper research for why Canada, Schulich, Specialization Courses it offers, Schulich-India/Canada difference. Just a tip- I did background research about my interviewee in order to try to get to know him and his thought frame. It helped me because for me he was no more an unknown face. But do keep in mind to keep it to yourself and not blabber it out that you stalked him on social media platforms. Be on your feet and calm. All the best!

My interview was something in between of a conversation and a stress one. The first I was asked is "So what do you do", post that following was the course of interview: 1. Hows your new job different from the old one 2. Took a project from there, asked how would I have approached it differently if I were a consultant (the career I aspire after ISB) 3. The gave me a case (YES, this was completely unexpected) most of my interview was the case discussion, where I was cross questioned at every single sentence I said, by all three panelists, at a time. At this point I was pretty stressed and mush have definitely appeared so. after 40 minutes of case discussion, they asked me to go. Then stopped the second moment and asked what would you do if you don't get into consulting. No cross questioning at this. They asked why MBA, and god know why but I laughed :D then answered Managing stress during the interview is not entirely in your hand. make sure your content is solid. Dont just say/agree to any random thing just cause you want to get it over with. -Regards

I interviewed with Nirav Mehta on 3/1/2019. The interview was very short (under 15 minutes) and I wasn't sure what to think about it, but I was admitted. 1. Walk me through your resume, starting with your education in about 2-3 min. 2. Why an MBA? 3. Why Marshall? 4. What are 3 qualities of a leader? 5. What's your long term goal? I spoke a lot on my experience in customer success, which led to the next question 6. What's the most difficult part about customer success? 7. Any questions? My background is in construction technology and that's where we spent most of our time talking. It was very conversational. I kept my answers short and to the point and only had two brief questions that I asked. If your interview runs short, don't overthink it like I did!

What diversity would you bring to the class if admitted? 5)What if you don't get your desired role/industry? What's plan B? 6)Why NUS? Which other schools have you applied to? 7)Any questions for us"

I had my preliminary interview today. It was taken by an Adcom member Sheila. She introduced herself first and then directly onto the interview with following questions: 1. 1 minute Elevator Pitch 2. Career Goals 3. Why MBA? Why NUS? 4. What are your views about whether Singapore can be a suitable hub for the sector you currently work for? 5. Any current issue that you have been following (political/social/economic), what is it about and what are your views about it? It was a 12 min call and with no slot for questions that can be asked from her. Let's see what happens next!

Questions I asked 1) If I'm accepted, can I take courses as soon as I join rather than waiting for fall? 2) What is the greatest asset of your school? 3) How do I make the most of my time in your program? Overall, the interview took 15 mins.

This will be a hard one to write in an organized manner, because this was a truly conversational interview. I will try to summarize what we touched upon: 1. Began with the interviewer telling me about herself 2. Asked me to give an overview of my resume, why I want an MBA and why LBS? 3. Asked me how I will manage at LBS, given that I will be moving to London with my family 4. Asked me about my partner and whether he would find it difficult to relocate 5. What other schools did I apply to and why? I was honest about this - let's see if that comes back to bite me :) 6. Case was fairly simple, she stepped out of the room for 5 minutes and when she came back in, she asked me to discuss what I think. I tried to be organized and coherent but I missed mentioning a key point and she asked me what I think of that aspect. So, that was kind of embarrassing. C'est la vie! 7. After the case, she let me ask her any questions. Even though I had a couple of questions prepared, I ended up asking a couple more based on what I heard about her experience at LBS. She was taking notes throughout the process. Overall, this was my best interview experience. Yes, I didn't give a stellar performance, specially during the case, but I truly felt that she paid attention to every single thing I said. She was genuinely interested in my motivations and she followed up with questions on almost every statement I made. This did make it kind of difficult to have a structure to the interview, but I just made sure to inquire at the end if I answered all her questions to her satisfaction. 5 stars to LBS for the interview process!

It took a while to schedule my interview with the alumnus I was assigned to as she was a busy lady. We finally managed to meet for an hour on a Saturday and the interview itself was quite informal and relaxed. There were a set of questions that were provided to the interviewer by the school and she was expected to submit her notes against each of those questions. The questions themselves were to make sure that I myself have written my application and a sort of confirmation on the contents of my application essay and other information that I had included as part of the answers to the application questions. Some of the questions were: - Why do you want to go to LBS? Why MIF and not MBA? - Do you have a contingency plan if your plan A for the program doesn't work? - Do you know of the clubs and student associations that you would like to be a part of? How will they benefit you? - Do you know which subjects are taught? What electives will you likely choose? In general, I got the feeling that the interviewer was expected to make sure that the candidate is genuine, knows enough details about the program to make an informed decision and has realistic expectations from the school and the program. The interviewer also shared her experience of the program and shared some advice on how to make the most of the program. We did not have more than an hour for the interaction and hence we could only manage to go through the set of standard questions set by the school for the interviewer. In general, I would say that the interview would really depend on the alumnus who is chosen to interview you and knowing a bit about them before the interaction should help one prepare better for it.

I interviewed with Sanjay Dhingra. Its going to be a conversation, he will have gone through you application and will have specific questions regarding your resume and experience. A couple of general questions like why schulich, why MBA now etc. and then he'll ask if you have any questions for him. Not a very long interview around 20-25 minutes. All the best.
