R1 Offer got. Background : 5+ engineering in Manufacturing GMAT : 650 Q49 V31 ( So I'm sure IMD is judging from the whole package or saw my potential) Schedule - invitation received 20 days after R1 deadline - assessment day about 1 month after invitation - a case will be sent 3~4 days before assessment - offer got 10 biz days after assessment day - must decide and send back acceptance in another 10 biz days Assessment day - personal interview : schedule could be the day before or the morning of assessment day. casuals questions such as tell me about yourself, biggest achievement , why is that, what's the key factor to bring the success, how your friend, colleague, family would say about your quality/defect, how many hours you sleep everyday - impromptu presentation preparation : 30 minutes to read a case + hand writing presentation (4 minutes) , hand writing ones will be collected but you can *****keep some drafts and read questions first before starting the case - Snack time - group discussion( ~2-3 hrs) for the case sent previously : open discussion firstly to share each own vision and host will pose some questions, challenges from time to time. **** don't be offended or aggressive, just take it as a study group where you just share your visions and challenge each other instead of attacking or winning over something. Remember you are a TEAM and you like everyone at this stage. - Impromptu presentation : ****4 MINUTES !!!!! RESPECT IT. Some started with a time line for general introduction before heading into the analysis and conclusions. There is no fixed way but it's important to hit the points and show your analytical skills and logics of thinking within the time frame. Find your own style and the methodology that suits you. Don't let others presentations influence yours. But listen carefully if some points you can use. After everyone finished the turn, a group discussion led by host, he would pose some interesting and challenging questions, pointing out our missing puzzles or superficial understanding - snack time + dinner time - Mingling time before master class - Master class - Mingling time + snack time It was a long heavy and rich day which I supposed to be every single day during the program. At the same event, you ll see who you are and how you position yourself in this program; meeting future candidates and professors as well as the ambiance that this program develops. If it wasn't for this experience, I would be still doubtful about myself and about the program. There are some other candidates with different interview process ( individual Skype with case , in campus individuel interview only without case ) Welcome to send PM if you need more infirmation or you just want to meet me or you got offers. Wish you all luck :)

Interviewed today with a CBS's alum in São Paulo - Brazil and got no big surprise at all. You can see below a quick summary: * He asked standard questions: -Introduced himself (5 min) -Tell me about yourself and your career (10 min) -Why CBS/MBA/ and Why now? (15 min) -Plan B - Schools, examples, career goals, ... (10 min) -Any questions for me? - I asked him ~6 questions (15 min) * The interview was very open and casual. I didn't feel pressured at all. I emailed my resume to my interviewer beforehand, and he had printed it out, taken notes, and had a few questions written down that we talked about.

My first interview was yesterday and it lasted for about 30 min. The interviewer was from the class of 2003, so I think he has experience doing these interviews and he knew exactly what he was going to ask. I sent my application and my CV to him early, but it was a good thing that I brought a printed version for the interview. He used both in the conversation and asked me to keep the printouts. We chatted a little bit about how loudly the place it was and then we got down to business. He asked me to walk him through my CV since college to my current job. He stopped me several times to understand all my experience in more detail. Then he asked a couple of questions: • Why I decide to the major I did? • Tell me about an important project that you did since you started working in US? (I’m Brazilian and I was transferred to US in 2018) • What do you want to do after business school? – (I also used this space to answer why INSEAD). • Why fonty over singy? In the end we chatted a little bit about his experience after INSEAD and I asked him a couple of questions.

Completed my interview today: Questions related my product launches. Question on typical project lifecycle (related to my work only)-How does a product land from ideation phase to launch phase? What are the typical steps involved? The interviewer also requested to demonstrate my extra-curricular skill! And then I asked him few questions. Not a stress interview. Pretty laidback and relaxed. All the best!

Hi guys, I just had my interview today. It was honestly so laid back and my interviewer, Carol, was fantastic. It was very casual, lasted about 30 min. We spoke about my hometown in Eastern Canada, my background, spoke about our parents and family, it was great. She then asked about general resume questions. What were my toughest moments? What do I think about working in teams? How do I deal with difficulties? What was my most proudest achievement to date and why? She said she was very impressed and honestly, she is such a lovely, down to earth woman. I enjoyed this interview, was not nervous at all and felt like it was a casual chat with a colleague or prof. Best of luck everyone!

I recently had my interviews with WBS and it was a truly enjoyable experience. It was detailed, it was deeper, it was insightful and it was an exploration. Questions were based on the context of the discussion, you can very clearly see some purpose of the questions, you see the logical flows and you feel comfortable that you are in good hands. After the interviews, you feel like time well spent and you have learned few new things. Thanks WBS team.

The interview would be very chilled out and the questions would be asked on your leadership skills and some scenarios related to this skill, then they would ask about your current company and the work profile and of course why WBS and Why MBA. The interviewer would be someone outside of the admission team, so you can use your essays in your interviews.

My interview was with an alumni at his office. It lasted about 40 minutes. It was casual and more of a conversation than an interview. He asked fairly standard questions: -Walk me through your resume/tell me a little bit about yourself -Why CBS/MBA? -Plan B -Any questions for me? Much of the interview was on the last question above, and this gave me a chance to learn much more about the program. We talked about his favorite trips/professors/classes, etc. I emailed my resume to my interviewer beforehand, and he had printed it out, taken notes, and had a few questions written down that we talked about. After the interview, that night I got an email that CBS received the interview feedback and would be sending me a final decision within 2 weeks! My advice for people preparing for an interview is to do your research on CBS and understand how it can help you achieve your goals. I think many CBS interviews are similar to mine (relaxed/conversational), and so don't get too nervous. I actually even enjoyed the experience!

I interviewed with an alumna who was my third match. The first two alumni weren't available for a meetup within the specified time window as they were travelling. This was a promising sign for me as to the strength of CBS alumni in the city. I met the interviewer at her office. She works in private equity and happened to know about the firm I worked at as well, so a strong connection was made right at the onset. The interview was as relaxed as I could've hoped for. After a few questions about my goals and why I chose CBS over other top schools, the interview turned into a dialogue between two friends about private equity and data science. The questions that I was asked are below: 1. You seem to be doing great at your current job. Why get an MBA instead of continuing to work for your firm? 2. Why get an MBA now? 3. What is the one professional accomplishment that you're most proud of? 4. Talk to me about a time when you struggled with a project. 5. Did you consider other M7 schools besides CBS? 6. New York City is crowded, expensive, not a college town, etc. How, in your opinion, do the positives outweigh the negatives? We were done with these question within the first 15 minutes of our 40 minute conversation. After that, I asked her about her own experiences at CBS, the cluster system, and how she's leveraged the CBS network through the course of her career. Later, I combined her field, private equity, with mine, data science, and discussed how machine learning could transform private equity the way it has asset management. I also talked to her about an interview of hers that had been published in a local newspaper. So, a tip that I have to share is that one should do thorough research on the interviewer and show them that one's professional experiences can be leveraged in their field as well. At the conclusion of the interview, I was told by the interviewer that she hoped I get admitted, so the conversation ended on a rather positive note - not that it was anything but positive throughout.

Applied on Jan 30th 2019 in Round 2. Kept updating the Admission committee about my recent achievements and accomplishments. Got email on 2nd May 2019 that I have been shortlisted for the interview. My interview was scheduled on 7th May 2019. It started 1 Hour early with my consent, since I was online on skype rehearsing my answers and checking the audio. She told me that the interview will last for 30 mins and after that I could ask questions if I wanted to. It more of a interaction rather than an interview. I was asked very basic questions like: 1. Tell me about your job, roles and responsibilities. 2. Follow-up questions on the company where I currently work. 3. Tell me about your 'typical' day at work. (I heard it 'difficult' day at work, she corrected me in between my answer) 4. Then, she asked about what my 'difficult' day at the office would be? 5. Career goals, 10 year plan, Long term career goals. 6. Plan B, if the above plan failed. 7. Volunteering Experience and other stuff on the Resume. 8. A situation based question where she asked me what would I do if one of my team member was not pulling up with rest. 9. Then, If I had anything else to share or questions for her? The interview lasted 50 mins. My advice to the prospective candidates would be to cheer up, show a happy face. Be very clear with your career goals, companies you want to work for, positions, your long term vision, and be ready to be asked questions on that. They might check your confidence in between the interview, so make valid points and present verified data. McGill Adcom's are one of the most humble and supporting individuals. At the end of interview we discussed French movies on Netflix and culture at Montreal. She told me that I will hear from one of the Admission committee member within 2 weeks. I received offer for admission 2 days later with scholarship. Je vous remercie Best of Luck!

I just completed my interview for Rice Jones. The interviewer was a second-year student and the whole interview was really conversational. I would advice not to be too much prepared for the interview that you seem to be rehearsed (he pointed it out to me during the interview :D). Overall the questions were pretty general: 1. Introduce yourself. 2. Why MBA? 3. Tell me about your most cherished leadership moment. 4. You enjoy leading a team the most or working as a team member in a team? 5. Why Rice? 6. Why have you applied in Round 3? 7. Any questions for me? Interview ended in exactly 20 minutes.

Hi Guys, I interviewed with Michael Cuneo, he started out making it very comfortable, I honestly felt less nervous. So here goes: Why MBA, why now, why Carey. What value will you bring to the class. What other schools are you applying to and what is the commonality between them. Post MBA goals. Any questions for him. Scholarships / decisions / deposit / first year curriculum /Class diversity. Overall, I felt good about the experience. He said he enjoyed our conversation so hopefully it goes well. Hope this helps !

I interviewed in person on campus in Baltimore. The interview itself went for about 45-50 minutes and was overall very conversational. My interviewer had my resume and reviewed my essays prior meeting. The big topics were: - why Carey vs.another school - discuss what makes you uniquely qualified to attend and what value will you bring to the school and class (used a couple of examples from my resume to demonstrate this) - asked to go into detail about a couple of stories in my ‘Business with humanity in mind’ essay question - asked about a time I dealt with conflict at work and how I resolved it (this led into the next question) - how I handle criticism and approach problem solving - was asked ‘what do you wished I had asked?’ (This was a transition point in the conversation to specifics around admissions/timeline) - financial consideration specific to Carey - decision timelines and will I need an extension for other schools - housing recommendations and other personal considerations - closed out with a couple questions from the campus visit the day prior. Overall, the interview was very conversational and comfortable. The day prior I’d met with several students and facially that helped shape my questions on the program. My interviewer was very familiar with my situation and components of my application so we were able to have some substantive conversation bringing out the strong points in my application.
