Amanda was my interviewer. The interview was very comfortable with conventional questions like: talk about your education, current work. I suggest you should know your resume well. We also talk about Vietnamese culture since Amanda has been to my country twice. Just that. Very easy. You shoud prepare well and then enjoy it :) good luck every one. Btw, Amanda said the result would be sent out before X-mas.

Hi guys, I received the interview invite today. Since on campus interview will be preferred, I guess I will use my last vacation day and have the interview on campus on the 22nd (confirming with the Adcom if they are open on that day even though the scheduling system shows yes).
I have a question regarding the interview process though; in the email it said "We will conduct two-part interviews during your campus visit - one with Admissions and a second interview with Career Services. Each interview should take approximately 30 minutes." However, I don't see people emphasis the difference between these two parts and what to expect from these two parts. Can anyone finished the interview clarify this for me?
Below is the interview information I found from the threads from the past two years:
"The only questions he asked me directly were,
1. Tell me about your professional experience
2. What is your leadership style?
3. Other schools that I am applying to
If I have to list down the topics we talked about, the list is below
1. Strengths
2. What will I bring to the Illinois community
3. How do I stand out
4. Activities I do during free time"
- why illinois mba?
- why mba now?
- what can you contribute to the illinois mba?
- what is your weakness as a leader?
- tell me about a challenge you faced and how you overcame it?
- what other schools are you applying to?
- where do you see yourself in 10 years?
1)Goals
2)why UIUC
3)What I am doing right now. How my skills align to that position
4)Weakness - Strengths
5)roles taken in the team
6) How do I motivate my team
7)Hobbies
8) Anything not covered in resume/application that I would like to highlight.
9)Questions to Adcom

I had my interview last evening with Mark Lockwood. It was a very brief discussion. Lasted for only 19 mins! :o
Not sure if Illinois keeps the interview short and concise. As far as I can recall the whole discussion went smooth and don't think I screwed up the interview either. The questions were the standard ones.
- Little introduction about me
- Was asked to emphasize on professional aspect.
- The motivation behind doing MBA?
- Questions on career goals.
- Greatest Strength.
- Why UIUC?
The discussion ended with me asking a few questions.

The interview was fairly conversational.
- It started off with questions specific to my industry (healthcare) and touched upon points I discussed in my essays.
- It then went into behavioural questions - my strengths, weaknesses, how I work in teams, etc.
- The final question was whether I had any hesitations about studying at Ivey.
I had a few takeaways from the interview:
1) Know as much about your industry as possible,
2) Be prepared to thoroughly explain points from your essays and resume,
3) The interview is just one data point. Do your best, but it probably won't be perfect. I didn't feel all that great about my interview, but everything still worked out okay.

All the same ones you see online for mccombs really.
- Introduce yourself,
- run through work history,
- what are your goals,
- why MBA,
- why McCombs,
- couple of competency based questions, and
- then some chit-chat

I was invited for interview by September 5 and had the interview on September 12.
Interview questions were mostly related to my
- work experience,
- Why IE,
- walk me through a typical day,
- what are your long term goals,
- which program do you prefer IE or IE-SMU,
- What do I like to do for fun.

It was quite a comprehensive interview. Basically they will ask anything and everything that is mentioned in your essays, resume, and whatever your recommenders might have stated in their LOR's. I was interviewed by Josh who has a charming and calming personality. He starts off by introducing himself nicely which really settles the nerves. Don't hurry while giving the answers. Keep the flow maintained. Keep it like a conversation. Speak slowly, clearly and constructively. Be sure to include real life examples, whatever be the question. They really like answers backed up with real events. Apart from this, they also ask about other colleges where you applied and why. At last, they give you a chance to ask any query which you may be having.

It was a pretty comprehensive interview. The skype call came in sharp at the decided time. Apart from the basic questions like Why mba, why smith, you could expect some out of the box questions as well. They stress a lot on Plan-B question and what options do you have in mind once you graduate. Which companies have you figured out where you could work and what will you do in order to get in touch with them. They also ask you about other schools where you have applied and what made you apply there if you were already applying at Smith. Apart from this, some behavioural and case study based questions. Keep your calm, speak slowly and clearly, and keep the conversation alive. Don't make it like a Q&A session.

Had my interview with alumni. Interview lasted for around 1 hour, first 20-25 mins discussion on resume and goals, next half an hour behavioral questions, and last 5-8 mins open for questions from my side. Major questions were:
1. Introduction - focussing on professional career till date and special emphasis on career shift decisions. Then started discussing on some specific points from my resume.
2. ST and LT goals
3. Why MBA, why now?
4. Why Ross - very detailed
5. Biggest achievements and failures and what I learned from them
6. Talk about one of the most stressful situations at work and how you overcame it
7. Experience of working in teams. What are the crucial characteristics required while working in teams?
8. Some question on a leadership role
9. What do you do outside of work - hobbies and activities?
Overall, it went smooth. My advice would be to prepare well on why you are looking forward for an MBA and Ross specifically. Explore Ross' offering according to your goals and be prepared with some teamwork related stories and learnings from your professional life.

Just finished my interview with Adcom (via Zoom application). It lasted about 30 minutes. She said that it was a blind interview with only resume as the source of information.
For technical advise, suggest you download the Zoom application prior to the interview, look your email 5-15 minutes before the interview (in case the Adcom ask you to send him/her your resume, just like my case), and prepare your passport or citizen ID to be shown to the Adcom.
The questions asked during the interview include:
1) Tell me about yourself, career progression up until now (please limit in 2 minutes)
2) Tell me about your side business
3) Short term and long term goal
4) Why MBA & Why now
5) Why Georgetown
6) What would be the main challenge in your role post MBA
7) What is your greatest accomplishment
8) Tell me a time when you had a conflict with your peers / supervisor and how did you resolve it
9) What would your peers / supervisor say about your strength
10) What would they say about your area of improvement
11) Do you have any questions for me
Best of luck for us!

The interview went as per my expectation. The following questions were asked during my interview with the Associate Director of Admissions Committee:
1. Walk me through your resume
2. Walk me through your professional work experience
3. Tell me about your biggest professional achievement
4. What is the biggest challenge you faced during that and how did you overcome it?
5. What do you like doing outside work
6. If your colleagues were to write a book on you, what would be the title?
7. Tell me how you would contribute to the diversity of the class?
8. Any questions you would like to ask me?
I was very fortunate to have worked with Arvind from "Dream School Admit" (https://dreamschooladmit.com/) on my interview preparations. He was very proactive on sending me the basic set of questions I need to have my answers ready on. He has deep insights on how and what the interviewer thinks. We also had a couple of mock interview calls and he pointed out very specific things for me to work on. This was really helpful for me to gain the necessary confidence and context. I wholeheartedly recommend Arvind to anyone looking to get into a Top B school anywhere in the world.

*Ross Team Exercise Experience*
Team exercise was actually quite enjoyable and pretty low stress. They break you out into groups of roughly 4-6, along with 2 MBA2s who are evaluating you. They give you two stacks of cards; you draw one card from the first pile which tells you your organization/company, and then 6 from the other stack which contains everyday business buzzwords (sales, growth, profit, etc.) Your task is to use 4 of the 6 buzzwords to develop a business problem and solution for the organization/company you drew. Your team has ~10 mins to prepare a 5 minute presentation in which every member must have a speaking role. The evaluators will also ask a follow up question. Like the admissions office says, there's not a whole lot you can do to prepare for the team exercise, just go in there with a positive attitude and don't be a jerk who tries to dominate the conversation or talk over your teammates. Good luck.

The questions were normal as you would expect from Business Schools:
1) Walk me through your Resume.
2) Any leadership roles I had? Any story around it!
3) Why William and Mary?
4) How do you plan to contribute to class?
5) Any questions for AdComs?

This was my first visit to the school, but not my first to the city. The MBA program is situated in one building, but the school has seven campuses across Copenhagen. The MBA building is in Frederiksberg, which is a little bit west of the downtown city, but there is a good amount going on by the campus.
I have visited a couple masters programs before, I was accepted into the MsF programs at Villanova and Boston College, but passed up on those to work, and the structure is pretty different at CBS. The MBA program is a cohort of one class, you are with the same 30-40 people in all of your classes and your classes are typically 9am-12:15 and then 13:00-16:15. Because this is a one-year program, the class curriculum is very different than a USA two-year program as the classes last about a month, though they have a year round leadership class.
On to the class experience, I was able to join in on a managerial accounting class that was mostly a lecture, but ran through exercises as a group for verifiable understanding. It seemed pretty basic to me, but it was one of the first classes, and I have a background in the study. The students are extremely collaborative, very accepting of humanities degrees, and students will tutor those that are unfamiliar or are coming from degrees outside the given class. Probably the friendliest classroom experience I've ever had, every single student came up to me, introduced themselves, and I was able to see some of the demographics of the class. The class has a ton of experience, the average work experience was between 6-8 years, while I am coming in with two years. The professor was easy to understand, was engaging and seemed to enjoy student input which was good. The class was relaxed and didn't seem extremely competitive or cut-throat.
Some notes on the school, it has two very big tracks for post-grad; sustainable business (Alt. Energy) and entrepreneurial (Start-ups). The year-round leadership class has a focus on sustainability, as well as due to the lack of opportunity to be an summer associate with a one year program they do an advisory board program where groups of 4 students partner with a Copenhagen start-up to advise them on certain situations. I know of several students in the class with a start-up in Europe already, so it seems to be a main point within the program. Their recruiting companies tend to be local, so consulting is a strong option, as PE and IB with the start-ups in the area, though the transactions will be smaller.
I hope this helps give a little insight, I am looking to work PE post-grad in Copehagen, but am still working on a refresher of my Danish, good luck to anyone applying!

Had mine yesterday. It was fairly straightforward, as the time is limited.
I started off with my presentation. Brought some high level notes with me for reference. She interrupted once during the presentation to ask a question, and at the end she asked two follow-ups based on my position.
Afterwards, she asked me to walk through my professional experiences to how I got to where I am today, with a hint to explain why an MBA. She also asked about why Cornell Tech specifically. I don’t recall if there was one question after that; there might have been. Then we were running out of time, so I asked her my own questions.

Had my interview with the adcom. It was quite conversational and she made the environment quite friendly. Went on for ~30 mins with the following major questions:
1. Introduction for ~2 min on work experience till date
2. Couple of questions on teamwork - An instance from my work exp, What qualities do I look to maintain while working in a team?
3. What is your leadership style?
4. ST and LT goals
5. Why MBA?
6. Why Kenan-Flagler?
She then went on to talk about KF's core values and we discussed about my current job and how I could link those values with me. Then she talked about KF as a school. Last 5-7 mins were open for me to ask any questions. Overall it was a very comfortable conversation.

Hi,
My interview was taken jointly by Chris Lynch and Kristal Owens. Both of them were extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable. The interview lasted for a total of 40 minutes. Following is a brief of the questions asked:
1. Run me through your profile: Academic, Profession and Hobbies?
2. Why MBA now? Why Alberta?
3. 2 example of team-work - one which went well and one which did
not. What would you have done differently in the example where
things didnt go well?
4. Tell us about your most significant professional achievement till
date
5. What do you plan to pursue after an MBA? How do you plan to
achieve that goal?
6. Tell us about a single big issue plaguing the global business
environment currently
7. Any question for us?
Be confident and friendly in your approach. Interview is the most fun part of the entire application process. Good luck!

Hello guys
I just had my interview with Chris Lynch, Kristel Owens and one more lady. My experience with them was extremely good. They will make you feel comfortable before starting the interview.
Their questions were:
1. Background description: Academic, Profession and Hobbies?
2. Importance of team-work?
3. 2 example of team-work - one in your workplace, another in anywhere else?
4. Why Alberta?
5. Strengths and weaknesses?
6. Example of leadership in a challenging situation?
7. How will you contribute to the classroom of Alberta?
8. Any question for us?
I applied on 19th Oct, got an invitation for Kira video essay on 26th Oct, completed video essay on 30th Oct, got an invitation for formal interview on 2nd Nov, done with interview on 8th Nov. Expecting final result on 17th Nov.

The interviewer had a set of questions he was choosing from. Most of the discussion revolved around my work experience and the associated behavioural questions (biggest challenge, problem solving, feedback at work, teamwork), my plans for the future and how McCombs fits into it, and a couple of questions on me as a person - strengths/weaknesses, hobbies and passions.
I think most of the interview just mirrored the application. So the school research and introspection you did while completing the application should serve you well. The only thing additional was the set of major competency questions, which anyway everyone should be prepared for.

Just did my interview via Skype with someone named Liz. Apparently she does Skype interviews exclusively, so international applicants may get her as well. If you're doing your interview on-campus, it will probably be with the other admissions people.
These were the questions I could remember off the top of my head (YMMV):
1) Why a UBC MBA at this point in your career
2) Thing you're looking forward to the most in the program
3) Short term/long term career goals + what do you plan to do with your MBA
4) Greatest achievement and biggest mistake (preferably professional)
5) A few situational questions:
- What if you were working in a group of 5 people, and there is one person who is clearly not pulling their weight (submitting shoddy work, or submitting work late). How would you deal with that?
- Suppose everyone is putting in their effort now, but someone in your group has a very different opinion on how a certain business problem should be solved. What do you do?
6) Questions for the interviewer?
Overall it was pretty straightforward, and interview lasted around 30 mins. I asked about current turnaround time and she said 3 weeks, which is expected considering it's that time of the year.
