Can I send my gmat score 1 year prior to my application in schools? Can I send multiple scores to them? If yes, then will they consider the best one? And as the application is separate from this score, how do they map a person’s GMAT score with their application?

Can I send my gmat score 1 year prior to my application in schools? - You can send your score anytime as long as the score is valid i.e. 5 years from taking the exam.

And as the application is separate from this score, how do they map a person’s GMAT score with their application?- You mention your email ID or some identifier on the application to the B school as well. They, then verify it from the GMAC shared data.

Hi, could you please tell if you applied to ISB with 690 or 720? Also congratulations on your ISB admit. Additionally, how was your Oxford said interview experience and do you have any idea about the scores that they would accept

Congrats on your ISB invite!
You have a solid profile. I would not expect them to throw scholarship millions at you but I think you have good solid chances!

P.S. I am not a huge fan of Europe as consulting destination since the pay is half of what US offers but there are advantages to Europe... as long as you can pay off student loans (sorry, just rambling)

Totally aligned with your thoughts around consulting in Europe. But it's the trade off between the additional fees of the US schools. I plan to return to India in the long term so I feel the (relatively) reduced financial burden of European schools might be beneficial.

Additionally, 690 GMAT score as an Indian candidate would be a straight no for most US schools :/

That being said, really hoping to get a call from IESE!

Hey Yogesh,

A quick suggestion would be rethinking the schools since your GMAT maybe slightly off. The experience look solid and honestly if you want to be in the RE space the US wont be a fit since Energy doesnt recruit international students. As bb mentioned, the EU job market is tight and tends to decline year on year, in that sense an MBA from ISB will be a solid bet. Just be slightly careful about the GMAT since most of these programs would have a median that is between 710-720.

Agreed on the US schools not being the right fit, as my research revealed the same too. I do plan to stay in energy consulting to gain sectoral expertise. I plan to return to India but I feel European expertise will be invaluable since these countries are truly leaders in Renewable Energy and transition. So I do plan to work there in the mid-term

LBS and INSEAD I am aware are stretch but given my work experience and curricular, I am hopeful for calls from IESE and HEC

For Fuqua I did my interview during one of the "Get to Know Fuqua" weekends.

The interview was done by a 2nd year student and was pretty informal. He asked me to go over my resume and then asked some questions based on my experience. Specifically, he asked about my experience with DEI while in the military, my leadership philosophy, and why I wanted an MBA/why Fuqua. He also asked about what contributions I planned on making to the Fuqua community and what clubs I planned on participating in. After that he opened it up to any questions I had.
