Hello @Anus99,

Please clarify one doubt for me, when you say that you received invitation for interview from Rice University, by that do you mean for Rice-Virtual assessment (Kira interview) or like traditional interview to be conducted online wherein you book a proper slot with date and time, which is usually followed by other colleges. ??

I'm also on the same boat as you, but have received invitation for virtual assessment kira interview.

Got the kira interview invite .when did you submit the interview and have you got CA invite?

I had submitted my application on 9th Oct, and just yesterday submitted Kira virtual assessment interview.
Awaiting (hoping) for interview invite..

Wow! Awesome results with the 312 GRE!!! This is reassuring for many of us with lower scores... or are you applying with Score Waiver?

Hi! Thank you! I'm applying with a waiver to Ross and NYU, but I submitted my scores to Yale. I'm also an ORM and graduated from a totally unknown university. I'm coming from a finance & strategy background in the social enterprise space! My works has had a very material positive impact on a lot of people.

PS. Being from a small or not well-known undergrad, is usually considered a hurdle. However, sometimes you can turn it into a strength by demonstrating how you have been able to turn around and achieve great results despite having a lowly undergrad on your résumé. Usually you want to accompany it with strong test scores to dispel any doubts about your GPA or grades Since.com wouldn’t have a good point of reference with a less known program. However, your professional achievements and results will hopefully speak louder than anything else and your background is unique enough to make you a valuable addition to a class. Fingers crossed🤞

Hey! How come you decided to add Kellogg and Harvard to your list? I'm just curious because I am considering adding Kellogg as well and wondered if it makes sense for me too.

Hi! I've followed their program for a few years now and they have a good presence in the field I'm targeting. Figured why not even though I'd be totally happy at Ross (and maybe if I somehow get off of Yale's waitlist).

Understood. Honestly, as I'm looking to get into healthcare I looked really hard at Kellogg before taking them off my list because I thought I wouldn't have a chance.
I kinda think I owe it to myself to try now though...
Either way, still crossing fingers for you with Yale!

Wow. This is an amazing result! GMAT 700?

Thank you! Yea I was worried 700 was too low. I’m planning on giving it again though to see if I can cross 720. Going for HSW in round 2.

PS. I have seen many people who have gotten stuck around 700 do meaningfully better on the focus version of the test. I don’t think it’s easier or the questions are easier but I think the scoring is less punishing if you make mistakes early in the test.

Thank you! The only problem with the focus version is it is not accepted by Harvard/Stanford/Wharton. My weakness in Quant is in Geometry and in Verbal it is SC. So I would definitely benefit from the focus version if it were to gain wider adoption this year.

You right 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. I forgot HBS did not take it and Wharton joined it. Sorry for bad advice 😥

GRE maybe unless you already sent GMAT to HSW.

Out of interest, how do you manage the deadlines for decision and deposit regarding the programs that you are accepted to with applying to further schools in R2? Don't you have to decide before R2 decisions are released?

A lot of times (99%) you will have to make a deposit on one school from R1 before hearing from R2… surprisingly. I have seen schools push deposit deadlines for some applicants who asked. I was surprised.
