Hello!
Your profile looks really promising on the Academic and work experience front! I would however, like to know in morre detail about your progression in your job, any leadership opportunities, your career journey, etc. Besides this, it would also be important to mention why you would be interested. in pursuing and MBA after your PGDM at IIM. Let me break down these pointers for your ease -

1. Academics - Your GMAT score is great and you. also have a decent GPA. This combination would be good to clear the requirements of top B-Schools on the Academic front.
2. Professional Experience - You have a long enough work experience for 8 years! It would be interesting to know your leadership progression during these years. Do you have any international experience?
3. Extra curricular/Volunteering: Do you have any extracurriculars as well ? Any volunteering experience? I would like to know more about your NGO contributions or any initiatives for social cause.
4. International Experience - Have you been abroad (even for tourism purposes)? Which all countries and languages do you know?
5. Post MBA - This is clear! Since your aim is Product Management, I would also include MIT Sloan, UC Berkley in your list!

Overall, I would really say that you have a good profile. I would just need to see it from a holistic angle to assess you with other candidates. Please feel free to connect in case you need to have a detailed chat, need any assistance or help with the applications!

Welcome! VC is tricky and off-campus heavy for recruiting.
Would also recommend Booth or Stanford obviously which is right there in Palo Alto.
P.S. Huge props on having VC background - that will help a lot!

Awesome experience. I think the AdCom will like your background and some of the credentials. It is best to have some good brand names however, so that recruiters can easily identify them. Hopefully NTU can be that. You will be a fairly rare applicant with PhD. I feel consulting companies will appreciate it, though it is not a very traditional MBA hire fit.

P.S. Wondering if GMAT 650 is going to be standing out as a sore thumb for Judge's average (I think it hovers around 680-700). It is going to be somewhat of a stretch which will put more pressure on all other aspects of your application. Not saying it is impossible but you will be swimming upstream.

Woah we have a highly achiever here. I think your phd and unique work experience will play to your advantage, plus your goal and work experience seem aligned. I assume you even have some leadership in your startup too. But I agree with bb that if you can bump your gmat score up to at least 700, not only your chance will likely be more, but you can even secure more scholarships. Have you still decided to give the old gmat a go before the Focus edition arrives?

For now attempting the GMAT classic version.

Mind if I ask what's your split? Because verbal scales harder than quant, a 3-4 point increase in verbal will boost your score tremendously. So if you can drill on your most weaknesses (either rc, cr or sc) you can cross that 700 mark in a month or so.

Q42 and V38. I am more worried about the quant score as my background and quant score don't line up. Hoping for a increase in both the quant and verbal scores in my second attempt.

V38 is a very solid score. You will only need a Q48-49 to secure that 700/710 score. The good thing is the gmat quant is not hard per se (the knowledge you need is all high school level) but it's just formed in a way that requires a smart approach instead of just brute force. So a right approach is key here. If you have any concern, i'm more than happy to help.

That's awesome to have a Coke Internship on your resume. Often startups can give you amazing valuable experience but they are barely known and it is hard to verify all the details but having a strong brand like Coke will be super helpful for your resume.

I think you have a great profile. Taking the GRE and preparing can be tricky but I would apply with whatever you have and see if that sticks. You have an attractive and unique profile, so perhaps they will overlook a sub-par score, which I would explain in separate letter note you simply did not have the proper time to prepare for. I have seen business schools take talented candidates with low scores but there are only so many spots for so many talented people so the higher the score you can get the better, as it is the biggest bottleneck for your profile at this time.

I would add the internship on the CV with only 1 line description under stating that you have been hired for the upcoming summer term, for the date just put "May 2024" or whatever month / year you will start

Hey Sarthak,

Your shortlist is heavily skewed towards Spanish schools, any particular reason for that? You have a solid profile for US b schools as well so maybe think about them? US b schools have an edge in consulting careers.
If you are looking at EU from the long term, I would suggest adding HEC and IMD to the mix as both are solid programs and do a decent job in consulting careers.

Yes I'm particularly looking to relocate to Europe. I'm not really interested in moving to the US as whole and hence, avoiding the US b-schools in general. I will apply to IMD, but it has a January intake, so if none of these work out for me in the worst case scenario, I will consider HEC and IMD.

For ESADE Scholarship did they give scholarship along with offer letter or you had asked them for scholarship?

It's a separate process and decision for scholarship in ESADE.
