I have 5 years of sales experience combined at BYJU'S (Edtech), OYO (Hospitality) and Disney Star, and and 2.5 years in Product & Revenue Strategy role at Disney Star (Walt Disney India Business).
My college (SASTRA University) GPA was 7.3 / 10, although my college is very strict in grading. It's all India #34 ranked and #6 in Tamil Nadu. I scored 94.4 and 94.2% in 10th and 12th respectively.
Received 1 promotion in OYO and 1 promotion in Disney Star. GMAT score = 700 (Q47, V38)
No social work experience.
Short term goal: Management Consulting / Product Management in Tech.
Long term goal: Entrepreneurship in Sports / Education focusing beyond Metros.
Colleges: US T20
Applied in R2 for 2024 intake: Rejects from ISB and NUS.
Applied for 4 US colleges: Haven't heard back from UCLA Anderson and USC Marshall.
Gave interview with Foster (Awaiting result) and Mccombs (Peer interview) - Awaiting result.
If I do not get any admissions, I am thinking I should position my profile more for Management Consulting (Gave short term goal as product management for all applications) and I am thinking to write GMAT Focus and try for a 740+ equivalent.
From your experience, please suggest what should I improve to get into top 20 colleges in 2025.

Long-Term Goals: My long-term vision is to ascend the ranks in the consulting industry, emerging as a thought leader in the intersection of governmental policies and business strategies. After completing my undergraduate degree in B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering from a Tier 3 institute in India, with a plethora of leadership activities (founded a club, led and organised multiple events, participated and led teams in project presentation conferences and exhibitions, organised community outreach events to help under-priviledged high school level students inculcate a scientific acumen) and community work, I'm looking to apply for the top B-schools in the US for a Full-time MBA.
With 2 years of full-time work experience (at matriculation) in the IT service industry (Cognizant Technology Solutions), post-graduation, along with 6 months of full-time internship experience in software development, I feel I am prepared for an MBA to pursue a career in the line of my passion, that is management and consulting. With the blend of leadership aptitude, academic excellence and a zeal for making a change in the world, I think an MBA at this point in my career will really help me focus myself in the path to the success that I aspire for.

Currently working as the business analyst and personal secretary to the chairman of the bank. I analyze all the files submitted to the board of directors. Also, I am responsible for organizing the board meetings.
Before that, I worked at one of the branches of the bank as a credit analyst. I developed a reputation of being an expert in analyzing financial statements and took classes on financial statements to educate my colleagues.
I led the development of two completely new income streams for the branch, i) A loan product, and ii) A deposit product.
Before being a banker I was a sales manager in the biggest paint manufacturing company in the country. There I led a 4-member-team and achieved yearly sales growth of 11.47% which were higher than the national growth.
I have a 18 month gap between my 1st job and 2nd job though. I had to leave my 1st job because my father health deteriorated a lot and being the eldest son of the family, I had to take responsibilities.

GPA: 2.6/4 (how did I have the audacity you ask?^.^)
Work Ex: 10 years, media including Google [global]
Social Impact: 15 years, including UN, WWF, National Forest Departments
Notes: I wrote my essay on overcoming racism and sexual assault during undergrad in America. It wasn't a sob story, because it isn't. It has had a profound impact on my compassion, understanding of gender equality and courage to take on social impact work, both in my career and outside of it.
I was hoping some stories transcend numbers and to convince Stanford of the same! If not, I am beyond lucky and grateful to have hit 3/4 with 3 of the other best schools in the world <3
CPG has gotten a bit of a bad name in NBA because the average pay is so much slower than consulting and tech. However, as someone who had a 15 year career in hospitality and CPG similar industry, I can say that while the average pay is not great, there are definitely niche opportunities and and senior management opportunities that make someone passionate about CPG not too worried about breaking even.
PS. Historically, Kellogg has been the strongest CPG school. Fantastic results with getting interview invite at HBS. Ross is another CPG school but a bit below the M7 mark. Columbia maybe if you would like to stay in New York.
