Hi @Riddhig31121999, the GPA looks strong - which undergrad university was it from? And what was the sectional split of your GRE score?

Some more details on your work-experience can help assess the professional arc better e.g. which companies, roles/ functions, key achievements, any promotions, etc.

Selecting the right mix of schools will depend on factors including your profile and career goals (which aren't mentioned). Feel free to reach out through the link below for a discussion.

Hey @Riddhig31121999. Your profile seems academically good, GRE is good, + female + non-traditional post-MBA goal (Media/Entertainment), this helps differentiation because many Indian applicants target consulting/finance/product. To be competitive across the board, your essays should clearly justify the transition from tech to media/entertainment and demonstrate creativity, leadership, and impact. You can read this blog: How to bring collinearity in your post-MBA goals?

The transitioning of Tech to Media/Entertainment requires a clear narrative. Adcoms must see:
1) Exposure/Passion for media or content (projects, community work, side initiatives).
2) Why Tech to Media is logical (example: digital entertainment, product, analytics, content tech)
3) Specific roles post-MBA (like Business Strategy at Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Disney, Warner Bros., Meta)
4) Evidence of creativity + leadership, not just execution.

Last month, we hosted an Essay Workshop Series for most of the Top B-schools. You can watch the videos on our YouTube channel.[/url] It might be insightful while crafting your essays.

We’d love to learn more about your academics, extracurriculars, work experience, and personal journey so we can provide a tailored profile evaluation and honest school assessment. Feel free to book a profile evaluation session.

Cheers!

Hi Riddhi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, with a 9.81 GPA, a 325 GRE, and four years of tech experience, you bring a very academically strong and professionally solid profile, your numbers will clear the bar at most of the schools on your list. The standout factor here is your pivot goal into media/entertainment, which is actually a good differentiator if you can clearly explain the narrative: why you’re shifting industries, what exposure you already have to media/entertainment, and how each target school specifically helps you make that transition.

Your GRE is also competitive. Your execution, storytelling, clarity of pivot, and leadership examples will matter more than your stats. Overall, you’re a strong candidate, but the success hinges on how convincingly you explain your pivot into media/entertainment, since schools want evidence you won’t struggle with recruiting in a niche industry.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!
No pressure, no strings - just helpful insights on where you stand and how you can strengthen your chances.
