Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, then pivoted tothe Banking industry and have been working in retail banking for one of the biggest banks for the last few years. Volunteered for multiple financial awareness camps for the underprivileged.

Hey Vikram
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, your profile looks strong, especially with a strong GMAT score and a decent GPA, which together take academics off the worry list. The pivot from mechanical engineering into retail banking at a large bank works fine, however, the key will be clearly showing leadership, client exposure, and impact beyond routine banking operations.

Your financial awareness volunteering is a good differentiator if framed around initiative and social impact. Since a few deadlines have already passed, the focus should be on tight execution for remaining rounds, crisp consulting goals (why consulting from banking, why now), and schools that value maturity and leadership over brand-heavy backgrounds.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!
No pressure, no strings - just helpful insights on where you stand and how you can strengthen your chances.
