I currently have 1.5 years of professional experience in audit at a Big Four firm in the Netherlands, and by the time I apply to business school, I will have approximately four years of full-time work experience. I've received an above average rating in my first year.

I hold both a bachelor’s degree (GPA: 6.8/10) and a master’s degree in Accounting (GPA: 7.0/10) from a university ranked within the global top 50 (according to U.S. News & World Report).

I am a first-generation student (parents didn't finish middle school), born in the Netherlands to Afghan refugee parents. I spent the first eight years of my life living in an asylum seekers’ center.

Outside of work, I am actively involved in community service. I serve as treasurer for a regional UNICEF organization and volunteer as a Dutch language instructor for refugees.

I am targeting IB outside of Europe, preferably in the GCC or USA.

I plan to take the GRE next year. My initial diagnostic test, taken without preparation, resulted in a score of 310, and I am targeting a score of 325 or higher.

Strengths:

Unique personal story: First-generation, refugee background — compelling and highly differentiating for adcoms.

Strong trajectory: Big Four audit experience with solid early performance and projected 4 years by application time.

Academic credibility: Master’s + bachelor’s from a globally ranked university; GPA is modest but balanced by narrative and work impact.

Leadership & service: UNICEF treasurer + volunteering as a language instructor shows initiative, leadership, and social impact.

Considerations:

GRE will be critical — a jump to 325+ is strongly recommended to offset GPA concerns and compete for top programs.

Post-MBA IB goal outside Europe is realistic, but you need to clearly articulate the transition story from audit → IB and why the geographic move.

Highlight measurable impact in audits/projects, not just responsibilities, to strengthen quantitative credibility.

Verdict:
You have a very compelling, differentiated profile. With a strong GRE and a focused narrative connecting your work, personal story, and IB ambitions, you can be competitive for top programs in the USA or GCC.

I’d be happy to review your profile in detail to assess chances and highlight ways to strengthen your application.
