Your professional experience sounds very compelling. The GPA is low and that would call for getting a very high GMAT score. With applications starting form May/ June (INSEAD), you have the time in hand to put the requisite effort on GMAT.
All the best and feel free to reach out for a more indepth profile evaluation.

In addition to Namita's points, please do not underestimate the importance of your research on schools and plausibility of your post-MBA career goals. e.g., hardly any VC in the USA hires/sponsors international MBAs. If your narratives fail to showcase this level of due diligence, you can easily predict the outcome of your applications.

Hi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, you have a distinctive, policy-heavy profile that stands out from the typical engineering/finance pool, which works in your favor, especially for schools like Yale, Harvard, Stanford and INSEAD that value public impact, governance, and sustainability. Your trajectory from think tanks to Chief of Staff to an MP to Big 4 energy & sustainability consulting, combined with ongoing pro-bono work with the Ministry of Finance, creates a strong leadership and public-sector narrative with real-world influence.

Your GPA will be a visible academic concern for M7-level schools, so a strong GMAT/GRE and clear quantitative readiness will be critical to offset it. The biggest gap to address is your VC pivot, you will need to clearly articulate why VC makes sense from your policy/energy background and ideally show hands-on exposure. Your school list is very ambitious and broad, so refining it into reach, target and safety buckets and tailoring narratives accordingly will be key to maximizing admits and outcomes.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!
No pressure, no strings - just helpful insights on where you stand and how you can strengthen your chances.
