Hi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, your profile looks solid and well-rounded for INSEAD and HEC. A 635 FE looks decent, especially with 4 years at Cisco, a promotion, strong enterprise exposure, and measurable impact. The Ideathon selection and silver medal add differentiation. Your internal platform build + enablement sessions show leadership beyond pure technical work, which is important. The entrepreneurial nonprofit actually helps, ethical shutdown decisions show maturity. Academically, 8.43 is strong and the research paper adds intellectual credibility.

Tech consulting to product marketing pivot needs clear storytelling, and you’ll need strong international motivation for Europe. If possible, pushing GMAT closer to 655–675 would strengthen odds. Focus heavily on “why now,” why Europe specifically, and how your security background uniquely positions you for product strategy.

Also, since you are applying for 2027 intake, planning early will really help. We’re hosting a live webinar on “MBA Application Timeline: How to Plan Early for a Stronger Application” on Feb 27, 2026 (9:30 PM IST). It breaks down when to start test prep, essays, and recommendations so you stay ahead.

Hey @Musagarw123,
good list of achievements, both at work and in acads.
Given the competitive applicant pool at HEC & INSEAD, you may be better placed in retrying your GRE for a higher score.

Hope that helps. Please submit your profile for a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call. https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Thanks for sharing your profile, @Musagarw123. You have several strengths: Global tech brand (Cisco), high-responsibility client-facing role, escalation ownership (leadership under pressure), security domain (valuable & differentiated), entrepreneurial attempt (ethical closure = powerful story), and being a female in cybersecurity (rare and attractive to schools).

Your weaknesses: GMAT 635 is below the INSEAD median, slightly execution-heavy narrative currently, need stronger “strategy” positioning vs technical support, and Europe post-MBA clarity must be sharp. You can take a look at this latest blog on "The INSEAD Job Market Reality Check"

Try to aim for a 675+ GMAT FE score. The higher the better.

Work experience evaluation: Handled 100+ global enterprise clients, owned 50+ critical escalations annually, led major security incident resolutions, and interfaced with senior leadership, improved operational efficiency by 20–40%. This is leadership under ambiguity.

But you must shift the framing from: “I resolve tickets.” to “I lead cross-functional crisis response for global security risks impacting enterprise revenue and trust.”

That changes perception significantly.

Entrepreneurial story, your community bulk-buying initiative is GOLD, if framed properly. You: identified a market inefficiency, aggregated demand, generated 20% savings, and made ethical decision to shut down. This signals integrity + business instinct + leadership. That is good for INSEAD and HEC.

Europe career reality (Important): Product marketing/tech strategy in Europe: Visa landscape improving but competitive, product roles often require EU language skills. Germany, the Netherlands, and France are growing in cybersecurity; your cybersecurity domain is actually attractive in Europe.

But you need to articulate an industry thesis. Example: “European cybersecurity market fragmentation and regulatory expansion (GDPR, NIS2) creates strategic product positioning gaps.”

That shows strategic depth. What makes you different? Your spikes: Female cybersecurity engineer, crisis management under enterprise pressure, ethical entrepreneurial shutdown, global client exposure early in career, and internal product/process builder. This is not a generic tech profile.

Other schools that you can explore: IESE, ESADE, IMD, and London Business School.

Questions for you:
1) Have you influenced product roadmap decisions?
2) Any revenue impact from your escalations?
3) Do you have budget authority?
4) Why Europe specifically?
5) Which countries?
6) Long-term entrepreneurship in what domain?

We’d love to learn more about your academic background, extracurricular activities, work experience, and personal journey so that we can provide a tailored profile evaluation and an honest school assessment. Feel free to book an evaluation session.

Cheers!
