I am an engineering professional with 8 years of experience in product development and manufacturing, currently working as a Manager in an electric two-wheeler startup in India. My work sits at the intersection of engineering design, product development, cost optimization, and cross-functional project coordination.
I started my career in precision machine design, where I worked on the development of an automatic diamond faceting machine and an 11-axis CNC gold bangle faceting machine. This experience gave me a strong foundation in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and system engineering.
Over the last few years, I transitioned into the electric mobility sector, where I have been involved in building products from early prototype stages to full production. At my current startup, I have played a key role in designing and developing EV battery systems, including battery packaging, structural design, harness integration, and production readiness.
One of my major contributions has been independently developing a complete battery system for a production electric bike, including design validation, testing, homologation support, and production line setup. I also helped establish the battery production line and manufacturing SOPs, working closely with R&D, production, quality, and vendor teams.
In addition to technical development, I actively work on cost optimization and value engineering, analyzing component-level cost structures and identifying opportunities to reduce product cost while maintaining performance and reliability.
Through these experiences, I became increasingly interested in project management and business decision-making in product organizations. I observed how challenges in communication, coordination, and execution can significantly impact product timelines and costs. This motivated me to pursue formal training in project management, and I am currently preparing for the PMP certification.
In the long term, I aim to transition from a purely technical role into product strategy and technology leadership, where I can contribute to building scalable products and organizations in high-growth sectors such as mobility, technology, and innovation-driven industries.
