Post my B.tech from one of the NITs (NIT Jalandhar), I was employed for 2 years in manufacturing sector of a fortune 500 company (Saint Gobain). I got the offer on the basis of stellar performance during my internship with the same company. During my job, I did multiple projects ( including 2 yellow belt projects) related to loss reduction and cost optimization. Since i wanted to shift my full time focus on the data analysis projects, I moved go ZS Associates which specializes in healthcare consulting. It's been 3.5 yrs since I hv been supporting a Healthcare giant with marketing strategies and day to day business Qs. I have 8.61/ 10 cgpa and hv been actively involved in sports at university level and led 2 clubs in college. Is a M7 admit possible with 725 GMAT FE score? Or should I focus more on the rest top 20?

Your profile is solid and ZS does tend to be a feeder into top MBA programs globally. With a good GMAT score and strong application you should definitely have a shot at the top tier MBA programs although I would advice against too fixated on the ranking. Focus more on what you intend to achieve during and post your MBA and accordingly shortlist colleges that would be fit your profile. Do remember that Extra Curriculars also play an important role in your application process, hence would advice you to focus on them as well. Lastly, healthcare is an industry that typically has been underrepresented across business schools and has gained prominence specially after the pandemic, so would advice you to focus on that aspect particularly in your applications. We have seen strong success with folks from the healthcare consulting background last year. All the best!

ECs are important to showcase your candidacy wholistically outside academics. Think of some engagements where you can show your pursue your passion whilst having a impact on the broader community be it volunteering with organizations providing healthcare, fund raising for some cause, organizing community drives, spreading awareness or even engaging with the local community. These will help enhance your perspectives and showcase you desire to have an impact on your community (something that most business schools value deeply)
