After 7 years working for a non-profit, I want to pivot to the corporate sector working in roles involving ESG strategy and also have a keen mind to work in the impact consulting space.
Transitioning from non-profit to corporate setup can be tricky specially after 7 years of work experience, thus would recommend targeting 2 year MBA formats that can aid in your transition through an internship. Your ST goals align pretty well with your non-profit experience since there are skills and experiences that would be valuable from an impact perspective. The only challenge is that the number of positions in impact consulting would be limited and since ESG is still in its nascent stages you would need to have a slightly broader career plan as a fall back. On the domestic side, ISB and IIMs are decent choices since the number of programs are fairly limited, however on the international front you can explore the US schools as well for consulting positions. MBA programs like Yale SOM, Haas MBA, Kellogg can be good bets in the US market. On the EU front Oxford Said, INSEAD, IMD will be good bets given their focus on impact albeit they are all 1 year programs and hence the internship component will be missing which can make the job hunt far more tedious.
Nonetheless, would strong advocate a strong GMAT score to aid your transition as that will deliver a strong impression on your candidacy.
