After 1 year working in Advertising & 4 years in Brand Marketing in consumer goods (World top 10 dairy company), I'd like to step up my career from Brand marketing management toward Brand & Business management, specifically in Nutrition & Health field. I'm currently a Brand manager. Post graduate, I'd like to be a Marketing manager in pharmaceutical industry. Long term, heading to Marketing/ Business director & General manager in Nutrition & health care industry.

Hi. You have an interesting and unique profile. My guess you probably want a higher score for Ross but Kelley and Judge nay work, though I would not expect any Aid with 650 so may be worth retaking if you think there is a chance you can do better and if you can improve by more than 30 points, def worth waiting until R2.

In terms of career, I guess you are going to recruit in CPG, staying in the same industry - that helps a lot having prior work experience, however, CPG is not a super popular track these days - few companies sponsor H1B's and the pay is not as good as Consulting or Tech or finance in the US at least. Just heads up but I think with your background it still makes sense to pursue as you will have the best shot at recruiting. It will be networking and recruiting on your own. I would recommend that you start now and reach out to students and try to connect with folks from CPG background or looking to get into this area - this will help in the long term.

@bb Thanks a lot for your recommendation!
One of the points makes me a little hesitant about my profile is the employability after graduate. Indeed the pay is not as good as Consulting/ Tech/ Finance & probably not a favorable profile that schools want. Yet I can't go away for the passion :P hehe Definitely would follow your advice to reach out folks & go networking.

I don’t think this would diminish your chances of admission. The schools want diverse group of students and they also want people who will get a job in their field. Schools want leaders in their field. It may be nonprofit or HR or consulting or tech. Schools know that not everyone will work in consulting but the lake strong people from any industry. If you are good at what you do, and you’re passionate about it, it shows in everything you do.
