2. Associate at a Multinational tech consulting firm:

Contributions:
I worked as a project lead for an Australian client to deliver a website for one of their events.

I wore multiple hats for this project. I was the project manager making sure the project goes smoothly and is delivered on time.
I was managing the team, resolving any conflicts, scoping and prioritising tasks, coordinating with the relevant stakeholders.
I was also the lead developer converting tasks to implementation, coming up with cost effective solutions, etc.

I had to leave the company after a short stint, due to its toxic culture.

3. Software engineer at a company that rivals Zoom.

This is the company I started my career with.
I started as an intern and was converted to a full time role.
Shortly after a year I was promoted to the next level.
I was up for a promotion after 8 months or so but I decided to leave for a better opportunity.

Contributions:
1. I was one of the 5 people invited to pitch my idea at the headquarters. This was made available last year. At this point I don’t have the numbers.
2. Led a team of 4 in the company’s hackathon to improve one of the product.
3. As pointed out earlier, I’m a football fan and I organised games as part of team building activities.

I have travelled solo to 6 countries.

I occasionally mentor juniors from my college.

Post MBA short term goal: Getting into Tech product management

Post long term mba goal: Working for startups and eventually leading one

Welcome to GMAT club and great profile. A few quick thoughts:

1. If you have any tech p.m. type of opportunities or responsibilities I would take them and include them in your résumé to show that you’re taking those steps already.

2. Development background helps with the number of tech positions and recruiting.

3. For extra curricular things, it’s nice to show you have a personality but they’re not super valuable unless you have a strong result or you are really proud of something or something really takes a lot of your time. So extra curricular and not going to get you very far

4. Your Gmail is a bit on the lower side for the Indian male engineer unfortunately 😬 hopefully your promotions in experience will highlight your capability.
