Profile review please! For Wharton, Stanford and Columbia R2

GRE: 320 160q 160v (do I need to retake / aim for 324?)

GPA: International equivalent to 4.0 for undergrad (business + finance). MS in innovation management (3.7) (Russell Group university)

ECs: Mentoring, college society VPs, student experience committees / college advisory boards, study abroad. All telling a cohesive story about education

International: Female. Black. Citizenship of Caribbean country and European country (both very underrepresented)

Experience: 2 years PMM at FAANG, 3 years of previous experience (5 total). Never promoted but run a side hustle consulting big name clients. Increased salary signficantly (300%) when changing companies. Last job was at a startup working closely with the CEO and I built out a new client offer. Concerned about the lack of promotion. Does it matter? I have a difficult (and bad) manager so I don't think I'll get promo before app. reviews in Jan / Feb. Trying to move teams for promo but it's not guaranteed.

Goals: I want to go to a ed-tech startup doing StratOps after....and then become a cofounder. This works as my background so far, even at FAANG is in mostly education (comms) / social justice / working with non-profit clients etc.

Hi. 320 is on the lower side... with top MBA programs having a higher GRE score each year... GSB average is 328 https://gmatclub.com/forum/calling-all- ... 12124.html based on class of 2025 and likely to go up. There is obviously a point of what can improve your application the most. If you think the GRE is a lost cause and you won't be able to move the needle, then time would be better used elsewhere but right now that would be the biggest numerical risk.

In terms of promotions, I think as a PMM at FAANG, it is pretty understandable that things have been somewhat dry the past 12 months with layoffs and other concerns in Tech, so it would not be a big concern in my opinion; however, you can address in an optional essay and just say that your team is really hard with promotions type of thing.

I think a strong profile overall and there is a chance the score won't really play a big role in the decision but it is a risk that can play in several ways. 324 would be better and likely good enough taking your under-represented status.
