I've spent ~6 years in the ed-tech space as a product and program manager.

Achievements-
1. Two promotions
2. Implemented a system to measure creator efficiency in a content production pipeline, navigating numerous technical and political challenges along the way.
3. Built an adaptive assessment platform(similar to the GMAT) with over 700 questions and scaled the assessment from 10k users to 100k users. It's the first adaptive assessment of critical thinking skills for the K-12 segment.

Education- Mechanical Engineering, Shiv Nadar University

Extra Curricular-
1. Built an ATV in the University for a National Competition
2. Led the Adventure Club during my undergrad- increased participation in adventure club activities
3. Completed my Basic and Advanced Mountaineering Certifications
4. Mentor at the Student Counselling Club at the university
5. Member of the university volunteer group- taught English to students of economically weaker sections around the university campus
6. Avid Rock Climber

What do I want from an MBA?
To learn the building blocks of business. And to eventually start my own business exploring the space of outdoor experiential learning.

Hi, INSEAD alumna here. Would be useful to know the breakdown of your GMAT score. I advise you to assess GMAT scores for the quantitative and verbal sections separately. Admissions committees evaluate your performance relative to your peers within your demographic group, typically using a bell curve approach. For those from overrepresented populations at top business schools, a Q49+ score (above the 75th percentile) may be considered borderline elite. This score signals to the admissions committee that you can handle the rigorous and analytical academic curriculum.

For native English speakers, on the other hand, a high verbal score is viewed positively by admissions committees because it demonstrates a strong command of the language, which is consistent with the expectations of this population.

For non-native speakers- Your verbal score is more likely to reflect your ability to participate in discussions in a truly global and diverse group at schools that place a high value on discussion-based pedagogy (such as INSEAD and Kellog).

That said, your work area in ed tech and content creation analytics seems interesting. However, it's challenging to discern the impact and scale of your work based on the couple of work focus areas you mentioned at the beginning. Make sure you understand what each of the schools on your list seeks in applicants and incorporate those aspects seamlessly into your MBA application narrative. Consider consulting with an expert who can provide more guidance. You may be running a bit behind on the INSEAD application if you haven't already begun. The Round 2 deadline is only two weeks away, and the application is quite extensive.

Your ECs are decent and have much scope for narrative building.

Get candid advice tailored to your specific situation. We do not cap discussion hours with our applicants.

If you are looking for Tech, Ross has been doing well there and I would recommend Foster as a safety. Ross Indian guys tend to be closer to 750/760 however, just a heads up but you have a non-standard background so it may help...
