7+ years in CPG sales with 4 promotions. Currently have 1 direct report. Manage largest customer who accounts for 10% of company's total revenue. Grew sales for the account from $1B to $1.6B in 3 years. ECs include volunteering with local state park bi-weekly to recuperate a near-endangered species of trees. Held 6 on campus leadership positions during undergrad. Short-term goal is to pivot into consulting. Long-term goal is to return to CPG at director level with eventual goal of C-Suite.
PS. There is a rumor that Jerry scores tend to under perform with scholarships. I hope that perhaps you can break that rumor with the future results!
In my experience and observations, you get paid well really only at the very top level at CPG, so I think your goal makes perfect sense as long as you can break into that space. I have seen Blackstone bringing in former MBB consultants to run some of the companies they take over. Many of them have messed up royally but if you have background in CPG, that will be a huge asset.
