I am currently serving as an Area Manager (Sales) for the Middle East and Africa at a French multinational corporation with annual revenues exceeding €11 billion. I have accumulated 7-8 years of experience in Projects, Sales, and Business Development, working with clients across EMEA and India.

Looking to pivot to Consulting or Private equity role post MBA. Aiming for schools that may offer me full scholarships.

Hey, @SHAHZEN KHAN

Speaking about your profile, it will be a strategic plan to target the business schools that are focused on consulting and private equity, such as INSEAD, Columbia Business School, USC Marshall, and UVA Darden.I would also recommend that you apply to Chicago because they have various merit-based scholarships and every applicant will be awarded these scholarships automatically without going through any formal processes.

Your 685 GMAT Focus score is quite competitive, especially with the new scoring range (205-805). Although you may want to improve your GRE score because major universities do see both exams equally, for now, your current one demonstrates potential. It is best to apply in Round 1 to maximize your chances of admission and scholarships. These are merit-based scholarships for which you have better prospects than many others applying around their own time. When preparing for an application, consider highlighting leadership experiences and professional impact, as well as reasons why you would be a great fit for each school. Securing strong recommendations will make your application stronger.

Applying to more schools during Round 1, due to their competitive nature, improves one’s chances of sticking through. Moreover, always try to have at least one institution among those applying in Round 2 as a backup plan. With these solid test scores coupled with a professional background, you are likely to be accepted into your target schools while also getting a scholarship.

I hope it helps you. :D

Hi SHAHZEN KHAN

I am Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, 7+ years in projects, sales, and business development, particularly in the dynamic energy and utilities sector for a multinational giant, is very impressive. Your pivot to consulting or PE post-MBA is ambitious, but your experience positions you well for such a transition. Your 685 FE score is also decent for these schools. It stands around 740. Speaking about your mock GRE, a 335 is also an amazing score. If you are able to achieve it, it will further strengthen your academic background.
Full scholarships for these top MBA programs that you are targeting is competitive, your unique blend of industry, geography, and career aspirations could make you a strong contender.

To enhance your scholarship prospects, clearly articulate your career vision, showcase leadership and impact in your current role, and highlight any unique experiences that sets you apart from the pool of applicants.

I'd love to learn more about your goals and explore your profile in greater detail. Feel free to connect for a detailed analysis.

Private Equity as a post-MBA career is quite unlikely for you. Once you have done your due diligence and research, you will figure this out. For a full scholarship, you need to offer something very, very unique and attractive to the schools.
