Hi. Many look to go into IB after MBA, but there has been a wave of people going from the post-MBA industries and roles into a different career. Lots of people going from Tech PM into consulting for example. IB is often a stepping stone for Investment Management, PE, or VC. You have a great profile/work/background. This is a strength! GPA of 3 out of 4 is not great... unless that 3 is a high mark in your school/country.
I would say in general (to anyone) that having a laser focused goal where you would like to end up is helpful. It is hard to figure out and some folks feel they can figure out in BSchool but that's not actually so (my own hard lesson learned). There is little time in bschool to do much of self-reflection and lots of rushing around. I know it is counter-intuitive but you will just have to trust me on this one.
Hi mleg I am Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, the average GMAT score for your target programs is around 720-730. I would recommend aiming for a 695+ FE score atleast. Anything above 705 would greatly help. GPA looks weak. Any certifications or additional courses which could demonstrate your academic potential?
I would request you to share details about your past work experience, so we could highlight and demonstrate your leadership skills and global mindset. Apart from that your ECs will also play a crucial role in demonstrating your way of giving back to the society and maybe even add some uniqueness to your profile. Anything specific in that you would like to highlight.
Ensure you align your post-MBA goals with the values of schools you are targeting. FEEL FREE TO CONNECT FOR A DETAILED DISCUSSION. Click here to connect. You can also email me your CV at: [email protected] Good Luck!
