I have been working in multinational banks for 8 years across the APAC region, at Korea and Singapore, decided to move on to another careerpath within the financial industry as a junior relationship manager. Now I am trying to move on and pursue a career development, pivoting into other fields of financial industry - asset management, investment banking or private equity, and for that trying to make a movement to UK.
Personal situation: Partner is a UK citizen so trying to stick to UK school. High chance of relocating to London by current employer with their support (considering family reasons)
CFA Level 2 exam passed, Level 3 candidate for Feb 2025 exam.
Thanks for your review!
I think sticking with the UK makes a lot of sense for employment as well, and not only for personal reasons. You should be well within the numbers and averages for the program. I have not been able to find LBS MiF age or experience for example but the alums they showcase are definitely more seasoned, so I am hoping you would be considered a valuable addition to the program. Also, looks like they require a few years of work experience, so that's a good fit as well. You don't want to apply where everyone is 22 years old and clueless about the real work and goes to recruit a jr. associate at the end.
I think overall you have a strong profile. There may be a bit of a positioning to make with your career path and LOR's - to show more of a growth or a direction and perhaps use an optional essay to explain the life situation/decisions if that is not present.
