Please add some details on your scores, work experience, etc. to help someone offer useful inputs to you. 'Willing to work''' does not sound like a choice of a career direction. Re startup option, is the plan to do it in the USA or return to India for it? There are different considerations and implications in each scenario.

Hey, MohdZaidKhan

You have a unique and interesting profile, with a background that spans multiple countries and industries, particularly within energy. Your international exposure, having been born and raised in the UAE, studied in India and Denmark, and now running your own business, adds an intriguing global dimension to your profile. The fact that you’ve been entrepreneurial in starting and running your own business since 2022 is a significant strength, particularly as you aim to continue building within the renewable energy space post-MBA. A GRE score of 332 is very competitive, especially for top-tier MBA programs. Since GPA can be a weaker point, you’ll need to emphasize the strength of your GRE score, post-graduate work, and entrepreneurial achievements to mitigate concerns about your academic performance during undergrad.

Your post-MBA goals are well-defined, with a clear trajectory of starting and growing a renewable energy company. However, AdComs can question you regarding your short-term goal and current business. So make sure you align your goals in a proper manner. Take a look at one of our articles on “How to bring collinearity in your Post-MBA goals”it will give you some insights. Also, the focus on renewable energy is increasing and growing and aligns well with many business schools’ focus on sustainability and innovation. Schools will want to see evidence of leadership and the tangible impact you've had in your roles. Be sure to highlight specific achievements—whether through revenue growth, innovative projects, or leadership initiatives within your family business and your own venture. Quantifying your impact will help solidify your leadership profile.

You can target schools that have strong energy or sustainability programs, as well as a focus on entrepreneurship. Schools like Stanford, MIT Sloan, and UC Berkeley Haas, which emphasize innovation and sustainability, might be good fits for your goals in the renewable energy space.

To get a more in-depth analysis and personalized feedback on how to best present your experiences, we are happy to hop on a call with you sometime this week to discuss your profile in depth and give you specific pointers to strengthen your application and gauge your fit for B-school.

Hi,
From your work experience description, it sounds like you are onto something very big in your career. What exactly is your role in establishing this fuel farm across the number of airports you have mentioned? If you are into operations- then it could be a very significant responsibility. If you are working in safety, then my experience of working with similar applicants tells me that the job is not so challenging. So it would be great to have more details from you on the nature of your work.
Another thought- if you are in the middle of projects which will lead to very valuable outcomes and you have a significant role to play, then you may want to consider applying after you have garnered some considerable achievements in them- which could be next year.
Regarding your goals- branding sounds unrelated to your work so far and could be a step down. Founding startups- do you have an idea already. Then perhaps working in it would be more beneficial than doing an MBA
Would be happy to char and understand your profile better.
