Hey @jmjmjmjm ! We understand how tough it is to get a rejection from a school. It's a difficult moment, but it can also be a stepping stone to your success. We've put together an article on the " Major reasons why your MBA Application got dinged. " It provides some understanding of mistakes you might have made. Take a moment to review it.

Also we see that you have been waitlisted by MIT Sloan. We understand that being waitlisted can be tough, but it’s also a sign that you’re still in the running for your dream program! Stay positive and proactive, many candidates who stay engaged and continue to show their commitment ultimately succeed. Keep pushing forward, and remember, the journey isn’t over yet! You've got this! We've created a special blog for the "Waitlisted Strategies: How to Navigate the Process". It will help you with the necessary tips and insights to increase your chances of success!

If you plan to apply to some more schools in the next rounds/ intake, we’d be happy to evaluate your profile and help refine your strategy. Together, we can identify strengths, address gaps, and ensure you present your best story to your dream schools.

Join the exclusive webinar on “INSEAD Jan 26 intake and Application strategies!”

Cheers!

Hello, Thank you for your response! If I am able to score a 330 on GRE, what chances do I have of getting into M7 next year?
My interview with Fuqua went well, so if I get into Fuqua, should I still drop it for an M7 expectation next year?
Happy to share more details about my profile as required!

Hey, 330 is a good score! However, the admission decision isn't solely based on the test scores, it's determined by the overall profile. Factors such as your awards&achievements, strengths, impact, leadership, unique qualities, work exp. and the value you bring to the B-school community all play a crucial role. Please feel free to discuss your profile in depth!

A waitlist by Sloan is a definite plus for you, so there's some bit of cheer here! Are you applying R2? Selecting a fewer lower ranked MBA programs could possibly help. Moreover you will need soil applications. Any chance of a GMAT retake?

I will be wary of anyone who tries to assure you that your 330 will get you into M7. Scores are a hygiene test to get into the consideration set. The rest is entirely dependent on many other aspects of your profile: what have been your achievements, your answers to various 'Why' in the essays, recommendation letters, even the tenure of your work experience, etc. Profiles from family businesses are always tricky because schools do not have much room to validate.

To drop Fuqua or not depends on your BATNA and risk appetite. I am sure you know the adage 'a bird in hand...'

Equally, your decisions shouldn't be revolving around the badge. Rather, it should be led by your career objectives.

If you don't mind, can you please tell me if you have received the invite for R1 ISB on Jan 28? Or is it R2?
Also have you applied with 710 GMAT classic because even I scored the same and applied in R2
