I am a white male looking to transition from being a SWE to a PM. I currently work at a very large financial services company, and ultimately will want to live on the west coast after my MBA.
3/26 - I did get a small scholarship from Kellogg, but less than 25%, so I marked this as having not gotten one at all.
8/3 - Decided against 2025 matriculation at Kellogg's MBAi program. Applying to 7 schools in R1. Got another promotion at work in the time between application years, and will now be matriculating with 3 YOE instead of 2.
You will only get stronger and more appealing as a candidate since you are at 2 years of work experience. Most of these programs are looking for folks with around 4-6 years (based on averages) as those folks get more suited for mid-management positions. With only 2-3 years you will need to demonstrate strong growth and maturity. The concern will be employability.
PS. I would be totally giving it a shot. Just make sure you come off mature in the application and show confidence in the interview (not arrogance though) as that’s what Adcom will be concerned about.
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, your GMAT looks good for the schools you are targeting. I am slightly concerned about your years of work experience. Although I read about your promotions and your ecommerce business, I think they should add value to your profile. I would also recommend that you add a few safe schools too. It will also be important for you to demonstrate impact at workplace.
