Hi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, I see an interesting profile for MiM programs. Your unique background will play to your advantage since most applicants come from business/econ/engineering. Your GPA in Hotel Management is solid academically, and the HR internships show relevant professional exposure. The “modified LQA module” point is great, it’s concrete impact, which Adcoms will love.

On the EC front, you’re strong: leadership in the Cultural & Diversity Committee, event organization, and CSR with Aman all add color. The entrepreneurial angle is worth expanding in essays since MiM adcoms like initiative and risk-taking. French definitely helps for HEC/ESSEC, even at a basic level, since it shows cultural adaptability.

Your consulting goals are fine, but you’ll need to connect the dots from hotel management to HR/operations to consulting. Adcoms will want to see a clear, well-thought-out story for why MiM now and why you’re pivoting. The GMAT will be critical: aim for 685+.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target MiM programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!
No pressure, no strings - just helpful insights on where you stand and how you can strengthen your chances.

Hey Priyanka,
I added a couple of things I had missed out earlier, but I’m still trying to remember if there’s more. Also just realized I had accidentally selected consulting, but my actual interest is in luxury retail for post-grad. Would love to hear your thoughts on the new points I added, and it’d be great to catch up whenever you’re free!

Hey,

Mrunal here from Involve Consulting.

You have a non traditional background which is good for you to stand out and some good extra curriculars. French helps but need to know how fluent are you in speaking or writing. You seem to have a lot of things going - and you can showcase all this and target competitive schools like ESSEC, ESCP and EDHEC which has a lot of alumni placed in luxury retail sector. You could also think of specific MSc programs here. Feel free to reach out to us for a free Profile Evaluation by contacting me on contact@involve-consulting.com or via LinkedIn

I will also add that in order to target elite programs - INSEAD, HEC, a higher GRE/GMAT score, some international experience (a big must for INSEAD) would be recommended.

Regards,
Mrunal
