I am a 25 year old man hailing from Kolkata, having completed a bachelor's degree in Statistics from St. Xavier's College Kolkata (CGPA: 7.35) and a Master of Operational Research from University of Delhi (CGPA: 8.5). [10th: 88%, 12th: 89%]

During my masters I interned at Gartner, which is an internationally revered Research and Advisory Company. I was the only student out of a batch of 170 to be selected for the internship. Post my internship, I was offered a PPO which I had accepted and spent 2 years at Gartner as a Specialist, Quantitative Analysis and Data Science in the Cybersecurity Research practice.
At Gartner I honed my quantitative and technical skills and made significant contributions to Gartner business:
> I was primarily responsible for analyzing data and presenting insights to senior stakeholders across the world.
> I pioneered GenAI adoption in the team by being the first to use NotebookLM to analyze 2000+ client inquiries, the results of which were used in 2026 Agenda Planning for Cybersecurity. Received Research and Advisory Recognition Award
> I was one of the founding members of the Data Engineering and Automation Taskforce which was created to improve the internal efficiency of the team. I introduced Python alternatives to legacy VBA based data tasks reducing execution time by 90%

I had taken finance electives during my final two semesters in college. I knew then that my passion lied in finance. As I was working at Gartner, I was upskilling parallelly to move into finance. I have passed CFA Level 1 and completed multiple certifications on credit risk modelling. I eventually was able to completely shift my domain and function by securing a position as Consultant II at EXL Services. I will be working on developing credit risk models for the largest US based credit card company and bank, impacting their entire consumer level credit card loan portfolio and ensuring compliance with US Federal Bank risk standards.

I have pursued my passion of music for 15+ years now. I am an Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music certified Grade 8 violinist. [Highest grade possible]. I had been part of the Abraham Mazumder Symphony Orchestra from 2015 - 2021, spending the last two years as the lead violinist. During that time, I regularly volunteered at Abraham Mazumder Music School teaching music to children and assisting on orchestra setups for numerous concerts.
I was primarily responsible for organizing the G20: University Connect event at Delhi University, Department of Operational Research, drawing 300+ footfall including the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University.
I was the leading member of the Engagement Committee at Gartner organizing fun and skill development activities to improve collaboration within the team.

Additional Information:
> I expect to complete all three levels of CFA before applying for MBA
> I want to do MBA to pivot from back office analytics in finance to buy-side front office. Management consulting could be my backup
> I can switch companies one more time depending on how much brand value of my current organization plays a role during MBA applications
> I have played tennis and participated in multiple junior championships from 2009-2015. Although I was not good at it and that experience taught me a lot about failure.
