- Indian male; grew up in US.

- Undergrad at state university. 3.97 GPA. Finance major. Graduated Dec 2023.
- First gen college student in my fam.
- 325 GRE (169Q 156V) - I was consistently scoring 160-162 verbal in official mocks so I will retake it soon.
- Started working full time in Feb 2024 (client facing role in financial services industry). Not a huge brand name. No promotions yet but made quantifiable impact (think $100k+ saved for company). Will have 3.5 YOE upon matriculation.
- Been volunteering with a religious organization since 2017.
- Founder of a nonprofit that helps underserved communities in India (started Feb 2025 and done 4 projects so far).
- LOR will be from direct supervisor.
Realistically, what are my chances at these schools? Are there any red flags that stick out?

Hey
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Your profile looks solid on the surface. A 3.97 GPA and U.S. undergrad will help you stand out, especially as an Indian male who grew up in the States -not the typical overrepresented pool.

The GRE score is decent. Your work experience seems solid, but you’ll need to show clear leadership or impact beyond just quantifiable savings since your company isn’t a big name. The nonprofit angle is strong, highlight measurable outcomes and your personal motivation for starting it. Volunteering since 2017 adds good continuity to your story. For top schools, execution will matter a lot, essays and recommendations need to scream leadership potential and purpose.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!
No pressure, no strings - just helpful insights on where you stand and how you can strengthen your chances.
