I (M26) am a law graduate with strong academics (GPA 3.6/4), multiple publications and notable co-curricular achievements. I bring 2.5 years of political consulting experience managing cross-functional teams across election-going states, and a year overseeing operations in my family’s hospitality business. I have also engaged in legal aid, para-legal work and rural education initiatives. My interests span governance, strategy and data-driven decision-making. I seek an MBA to transition into corporate strategy. Acknowledging my quantitative limits, I have secured a GMAT Focus score of 645. My target schools include ISB, NUS, NTU, HEC Paris, and INSEAD as a reach.

First, the GPA is very strong. Next, your profile has a very unique angle with the political consulting and hospitality business experience and this will keep you apart from other applicants. But while this is your advantage, your 645 GMAT keeps your profile on the fence. ISB may be a target with your current score as they are open to diverse backgrounds and so will NTU. But for NUS, HEC, and INSEAD, you will need to boost the score by another 35-50 points.
The goal you have in mind is fine but you need to explain properly why you want to transition from political consulting and hospitality into corporate strategy. For this, you will have to introspect a lot as AdComs will want to understand your motive behind your planned goals.
