Hello guys,

I just took my gmat for the first time today. I scored 640 (50Q / 27V).
I am confused, my verbal score is the lowest score I have ever had. In my practice tests I used to have around 33, I got 37 once.
Anyway, I need help to get to the 40s in the verbal. Is it impossible to do for a non native speaker like me ? I mean I worked with most of the "best" books... MGMAT SC, Powerprep CR, OG 11 and 12... I have to say though that I worked most of the work in 2 weeks (2 weeks for V and another 2 weaks for Q with 12 to 14 hours of work per day)
For the quant, I really appreciated the math tests of this forum that helped me a lot. They were hard and had a lot of tips.
Any advice for the verbal please ?

Any help please ? I really don't know what to do to improve my verbal !

You can try other material such as LSAT RC and/or LSAT CR which are said to be tougher than the GMAT.

What was your accuracy on the OG verbal questions?

You can try Veritas Verbal guides. Also, keep error log if you hadn't last time.

My suggestion would be to focus on OG and official questions for Verbal, and not bother with other material.

However dig deep into this material only after clearing up all your concepts

Actually, it may be a good idea to stay off LSAT material. It has many different types of questions which are irrelevant as far as GMAT goes. Only once you have exhausted all other material and are absolutely in line with all concepts should you touch it if you want to practice more.
Focus more on your strategies than on plain practice.
For CR - Learn how to handle different types of questions, what to focus on etc
For SC - Learn the most common error types e.g. Modifier errors, Pronoun errors, Subject Verb agreement etc and how GMAT questions you on these.
For RC - Work out a strategy that works best for you. Things to keep in mind while reading the passage - the structure, the tone etc.
Once you have identified what works best for you, practice it on any and every question you get your hands on.
