Hi,
In my GMAT exam -Verbal, I had a final 4 questions after I completed RC. I had only 4 minutes for 4 questions. I used almost 1 min per question and reached the final one. In the final question, I selected one of the answer choice in random before I spent time thinking about the correct answer. My thought was even if the answer is incorrect, I had attempted the question. Thereby, I don't incur the strict penalties of not answering a question. When I was still struggling to find the correct answer for the last question, the time expired. I felt I had answered the last question - correctly or incorrectly. There were confirmation boxes for every question. As I selected the last answer choice but did not have the chance to receive a confirmation box, I am not sure if the last question was taken as answered.
I took a CAT from Economist. I was in a similar situation. I did not confirm my last question. The CAT marked the last question as unanswered. In another CAT with another provider, the last question was taken as answered.
I am not sure how this works. Is it okay to select the answer choice for the last question or should the confirmation box be clicked with 'Yes'?
Regards,
Rajesh
