All of these three triangles(ABC, ACD, and ADE) have bases of equal length because we are given that BC=CD=DE, and they also have the same height which is the perpendicular line segment AB. Note here that for triangle ACD, the altitude or height is the perpendicular distance from the vertex A to the base CD, which is equal to AB. The same is the case for all three triangles. Therefore they all have the same base and height and thus equal areas.
Please note that is a GRE Quantitative comparison question, and these question types do not appear on the GMAT.
