Hey thanks BB,
I just downloaded the newly formatted flashcards. Thats awesome. I have them in ibooks on Iphone and can read them anytime i want. thats really awesome.

I have one last request...... Can you do this for the entire original document as and when you find time for this?

in the meantime i will get on to finish these :)

Thanks again. You have done a great job by creating this forum.

P.S. I saw your reviews on Amazon and bought the manhattan word translations and number props based on your review. they really are very good books

On pg.29 Algebra (Hard):
answer is A option;
be cause you can write Expression in question=|x-3|+V^(2-x)+x-3
and v^(2-x) must be greater than 0 : ==>x<2
and Expression =-(x-3)+V^(2-x)+x-3=V^(2-x) ;)

Thank you for this great work! You guys are amazing.
I havnt gone through all the materials, but found a minor error on P.44 of Verbal Strategies: On the answer choice bar, correct choice should be A in stead of B.
Also, on P.40, the explanation for choice C is not clear because C does not mention anything "objection".

Am I missing something? Shouldn't the answer be -42??

Consecutive Numbers | Answers

Sum of consecutive integers
consecutive integers ‐8,‐9,‐7,‐6,‐5,‐4,‐3,‐2,‐1,0,1,2

The answer in the flashcards is -36.

8-) indeed!!

(-9 + 2)/2 = -3.5
-3.5 * 12 = -42

Great work!!! Cant appreciate enough.

In the verbal flash cards.pdf page 44 needs to be corrected. The answer chosen on top vs one in the list is different

The office of 120 is split between male and female
employees at the ratio of 3:5. If 40% of the
employees are married and 20 of the married
employees in the office are men, how many of the
women working in the office are single?

In your matrix you drew, where are you getting 45 and 75? It just seems like you are pulling them out of thin air.

Note: Above question was posted by RyanP, though I have the same question.

Answer provided was:

the ratio is 3:5, so that means if you divide 120 by (3+5), you will get 15.
Now multiply 3 by 15 and 5 by 15 and you get those numbers (yes, out of thin air though with the help of some math)

Can someone please explain the reason why you can do 120 / by (3+5)? Also any alternative solution to this type of question without drawing a matrix? Thanks!

HI alextaylor116,

You ask a good question. The answer lies in how quickly you can actually work through the examples that you listed. So, try timing yourself - if you can physically calculate all of those end results perfectly and quickly, then you probably don't need to memorize them. However, if you make mistakes or are 'slow' with that work, then memorizing that information might be helpful to your overall performance in the Quant section.
