As per logic it has to be "an excellent" how ever answer says "excellent" with out any article??? any explaination for the same

Subject of sentence is "Green Anole Lizards" (plural), so you cannot have "an excellent animal" (singular) to refer to a plural subject.
Between D and E, D is using wrong "between X with Y", so I will go with E.

Please confirm the answer.

"an" excellent would be correct if the subject was singular. Here the subject is lizards hence plural and thus we do not need "an"

here issue is not of an excellent and excellent
Actually lizards are plural hence excellent animals is correct usage .
hence A,B eliminated and C,D are eliminated since between .. with is wrong idiom E is the answer
