I was thinking about the accuracy of GMAT prep exam score and thought of putting it up for suggestion in the form of a CR question
Here goes
Premise:
1. Set of people who attempts the actual GMAT exam is a sub set of people who give GMAT prep
2. People who are relatively confident in their preparation attempt actual exam
Intermediate conclusion
1. In actual GMAT exam you are comparing against better performing set of people
Assumption
1.Score is calculated based on your relative performance when compared to all people in the respective set
Conclusion:
A person's score in actual exam always be less than score he/she gets in GMAT prep
How flawed is this argument and how can you strengthen or weaken it
