Hi everyone,
I could use your assistance regarding my GMAT preparation. I took the official GMAT prep test and scored Q45 and V32/31. When I analyzed my score, I learned that I had 12 mistakes on verbal, 8 of which were from Reading Comprehension section. To be honest, I remember I had 1 or 2 verbal problems that I remembered from the
OG guide but I do not think it made a huge difference overall.
Obviously, I will have to improve there if I want a nice 700+ score. My goal is to be around 45 in Verbal and perhaps move a point up in Quant. Quant shall be easy to improve since I tend to make silly mistakes, so I am not too worried about it.
Recently, I took two
MGMAT tests in two days and scored pretty much the same as on official prep exam. This time, however, RC was my best section while CR was the worst. Funny thing about CR is that I had only one mistake on the official prep test and, on
MGMAT CAT, I had like 7 mistakes on CR which honestly shocked me since CR is by far my best section on the entire test. It seems to me that Verbal logic is kind of way different from Official GMAT but who knows maybe I am picking up excuses for my poor performance (to what I expected it to be). Moreover, I also think that
MGMAT Quant questions were harder than official...it does not matter too much but it seems like a pattern to me but I could be wrong.
Now, I am all confused. First of all, I thought that my Verbal score would improve, since it took me just a month to move from 32 to 45 on Quant section. But if I see that
MGMAT score is pretty much the same as official prep test score then there is a great chance I have not improved in Verbal after all.
What do you people think? I do have PLENTY of time but I began to lose my confidence since I do not make progress. It is kind to stay motivated since I am studying for a while.
