Hi,

I'm not good at "How many times will a certain digit written" types of question. Although I don't know how to say this type of question expactly, here's a example of this type of question in the GMAT Club test.

Quote:
How many times will the digit 7 be written when listing the integers from 1 to 1000?

digit-81744.html

I can understand the explanation of the question, but I'm not sure whether I can solve similar questions with confidence.

Do you have any good resources or books to provice a conprehensive and easy-to-apply approach to solve this type of question? Or, do you have question bank filled with this type of question?

I have about 3 weeks to take the first GMAT. I took MGMAT's first CAT test and got 620 (Q36, V38). I believe improving my Q score will boost my score. That's why I should get over my weak points mentioned above.

Thanks

This is a PS problem and challenges how you approach a problem.

If you're having trouble with these, working on general problem solving skills is the best thing to do. Puzzles, cross word puzzles, sodoku, etc. Thinks to keep your mind working in a non linear problem.

It seems one dominant issue with standardized testing later in life is people become more and more linear with how he/she approaches something that requires problem solving. Being linear tends to hurt a test taker on more advanced problems, while it works fairly well up to maybe a 600 scoring level.
