Let P(H) and P(T) denote the probabilities of a head and a tail respectively. The reqd. prob
= P(H)P(T) + P(T)P(H) + P(H)P(H)
= (1/4) x 3
= 3/4

If a certain coin is flipped, the probability that the coin will land heads is 1/2. If the coin is flipped 2 times, what is the probability that it will land heads up at least one time?

total = 4
both heads = 1
both tails = 1

= 1- p(t) = 1-1/4 = 3/4
