If p is a positive integer, is p > 4 ?

(1) p^4 = 246
(2) (p^2 -1)(p - 4) > 0

Bunuel I think option A should be p^4 = 256.please check the option, because p is an integer.

Is it B . Since option A makes it 4 and we need something greater which is possible with option b .

Is p>4 as p is positive integer.

Statement 1 gives p= -4, 4.

We already know that p is positive integer. so P= 4
Sufficient.

St. 2 for p= 0 , p>4
but again p is positive integer then p>4
It is also sufficient

D seems correct.

But Main problem is that both statements are contradictory which couldn't be the case with GMAT DS.

Both statements are not consistent with each other.
In the 1st statement, p=4. So no, it's not greater.
In the 2nd statement, since p is a positive integer, p>4, which isn't consistent with the 1st statement.
