\(p - \frac{p}{q} = 4\)

Or, \(pq - p = 4q\)

Or, \(p (q - 1 ) = 4q\)

Or, \(p = \frac{4q}{(q - 1 )}\)

We are given that p - p/q = 4 and must isolate p. Let's start by multiplying the entire equation by q to get rid of the fraction.

q(p - p/q = 4)

pq - p = 4q

p(q - 1) = 4q

p = 4q/(q - 1)

Answer: A
