area = pi * r^2 =20
r= 2√5/pi
diameter = 4√5/pi
~ 3 inches
IMO B

Area $$\pi r^2 = 20 in^2$$
$$\pi$$ is equal to ~3

So, $$2r = 2\sqrt{\frac{20}{3}}$$

Notice the rounding of the values below-
$$2\sqrt{\frac{20}{3}} =~ \sqrt{4*6} =~ 5$$

πd^2/4 = 20

d^2 = 80/π = 80*7/22 = 560/22 = 280/11 = 25.4

d= √25 = 5

Ans C
