If the product of the three digits of the three-digit positive integer N is 8, what is the value of N?

(1) The hundreds digit of N is even.
it could be 811, 222 , 421 , 241 , 214
Clearly insufficient

(2) The tens digit of N and the units digit of N are the same.
811, 222 ,

Even when combined 811 and 222 exists
Therefore IMO E

single digit numbers whose product is 8 => (2,2,2), (1,4,2), (1,1,8). Permutations of these could be N

1) Hundreds is even => 222, 241, 421, 214, 811 => NOT SUFFICIENT
2) Tens and units is same => 222, 811 => NOT SUFFICIENT

Together => 222/ 811
E is the correct answer
