Ratios given and not the actual value. We don't know if x and y are integers or decimals +ve/-ve thus CBD

Ratios are given but we cannot calculate the exact value of x and y unless the value of one the variable is given.

Answer: E.

x+y can be 16 or 32 or 48 and so on. Answer E
