Hello Suminha. The word define means here simply means can we "say" or can we "tell definitely" what the sign of y - 2xy i.e if it is positive or negative.
Here we have been given certain data that x and y are both real and that y > x and that both x and y are greater than 0.
Let's take a couple of data points to see if the sign is the same for all different possibilities.
Case 1:
Let x = 1 and y = 2. This satisfies y > x > 0.
Then y - 2xy = 2 - (2 * 1 * 2) = 2 - 4 = -2. Here the sign is negative.
Case 2:
Let x = 0.25 and y = 0.5. This satisfies y > x > 0.
Then y - 2xy = 0.5 - (2 * 0.25 * 0.5) = 0.5 - 0.25 = 0.25. Here the sign is positive.
Therefore the answer is Option (1) NO.
