\(s=(1 + \frac{2}{3}).f = \frac{5}{3}.f\) and then \(f = \frac{3}{5}.s\)

But, \(n = (1 + 0,05).s = 1,05.s\)

Thus, \(\frac{n}{f} = \frac{1,05.s}{0.6s}=\frac{1.05}{0.6}=1.75\).

John's November sales is 75% percent greater than his February sales.

The correct answer is letter (D).

Let february sale= x
september sale= x+2/3x= 5x/3
November sale= 5x+3 + 5*5/100*3x
21/12x= 1.75 x

Hence November sale is 75% > February sale

D is the answer

feb is x= 60

SEP is --- 60+ 2/3(60) = 100

105/100 * 100 = 105

60 is x% of 105 => (105/60) *100= 175%

so basically 75% more

The key point has been highlighted in the question above....

Let, Sales in Feb will be 300
So, Sales in Sept will be 500
So, Sales in November will be 525

November Sales is 225 greater than Feb Sales

So, Percentage = 225/300 * 100 => 75%

Hence answer will be (D)

Best method as also mentioned above is....
Take some value for Feburary, but a FRIENDLY one....
Ensure 2/3 of that is also integer..
so take feb value as a multiple of 3.... take it as 30 or 300..etc

lets take it as 300..
september value =\((1+\frac{2}{3}) *300 = 500\)....
5% more = \(500*1.05 = 525\).......
Increase =\(\frac{575-300}{300}= \frac{225}{300} = 0.75\) or 75%
